ASUS has announced the ZenWiFi BD4 Outdoor, a weather-resistant WiFi 7 mesh router designed to deliver seamless high-speed internet coverage across outdoor spaces.
Aimed at users who require stable connectivity outside the home for outdoor devices and activities, this model is capable of speeds up to 3600Mbps and a range of up to 2,530 feet thanks to the dual-band WiFi 7 with Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and 4K-QAM.
It’s also fully compatible with ASUS AiMesh systems, allowing for scalable mesh coverage that extends a user’s home network seamlessly into the outdoors.
The device is IP65-rated for water and dust resistance, operates in temperatures ranging from 30°C to 60°C, and comes with surge and electrostatic discharge protection. For streamlined installation, the router supports Power over Ethernet (PoE+) through dual 2.5G ports with auto WAN detection, and can alternatively be powered via an included AC adapter. Flexible mounting options for deployment on walls, poles, or flat surfaces just make everything easier.
Security is another focal point. The router includes ASUS’s Triple-level Network Security suite with AiProtection Pro, built-in parental controls, and native support for several VPN services. Through its Smart Home Master feature, users can create up to three dedicated SSIDs which is ideal for isolating IoT devices like smart lights, security cameras, or garage door openers.
