MediaTek has unveiled an enhanced version of its flagship SoC—the Dimensity 9400+—which builds on the existing Dimensity 9400 with key performance upgrades.
Maintaining the same “All Big Core” architecture, the chip features a 1x Arm Cortex-X925, 3x Cortex-X4, and 4x Cortex-A720 configuration. The most notable change lies in the Cortex-X925 core, which now reaches clock speeds of up to 3.73GHz that is up from the original’s 3.63GHz to deliver a tangible boost in peak performance.
Effectively a high-binned variant of the Dimensity 9400, the new SoC also sees a 20% uplift in AI processing capabilities, thanks to enhancements in the NPU 890 module with Speculative Decoding+. MediaTek is also debuting its Dimensity Agentic AI Engine (DAE), enabling developers to transform conventional AI applications into more intelligent and autonomous tools.
Other specifications remain unchanged, including support for LPDDR5X memory at 10667Mbps, UFS 4.0 storage, WQHD+ displays with up to 180Hz refresh rate, and the Immortalis-G925MC12 GPU.
The first smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9400+ are set to launch this month.
