After four days of product launches, keynote presentations, startup showcases, and countless business meetings, COMPUTEX 2026 has officially concluded.
This year’s exhibition was unlike any previous edition.
While AI dominated headlines throughout the technology industry over the past two years, COMPUTEX 2026 demonstrated that artificial intelligence is no longer simply a software phenomenon. Instead, AI is rapidly becoming embedded into physical products, industrial systems, robotics platforms, and next-generation computing infrastructure.
Under the theme “AI Together,” COMPUTEX 2026 brought together the world’s leading technology companies, startups, investors, and innovators to explore how AI is reshaping virtually every industry. The result was one of the most significant editions of COMPUTEX in recent memory.
AI Becomes Reality
One of the clearest messages from COMPUTEX 2026 is that the conversation around AI has evolved.
The industry is no longer asking whether AI will transform businesses.
The focus has shifted toward how quickly AI can move from digital environments into real-world deployment.
This emerging trend, commonly referred to as Physical AI, was one of the dominant themes throughout the exhibition. Rather than existing solely inside data centers and cloud services, AI is increasingly finding its way into robots, autonomous systems, manufacturing equipment, logistics networks, healthcare applications, and intelligent mobility solutions.
To support this transition, COMPUTEX introduced its inaugural AI Robotics Zone, showcasing technologies that bridge the gap between research and real-world implementation. The exhibition highlighted the growing ecosystem surrounding robotics, embodied AI, sensors, computing platforms, and integrated automation solutions.
For many attendees, this was perhaps the strongest indication yet that the next phase of AI growth will happen outside the data center.
A Truly Global Technology Gathering
The scale of COMPUTEX 2026 further reinforces its position as one of the world’s most influential technology exhibitions.
According to the organizers, the event attracted 111,312 buyers and visitors from 152 countries and regions. Major visitor groups came from Japan, the United States, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Thailand, and Malaysia, demonstrating the global reach of the event.
Walking through the exhibition halls, the international nature of COMPUTEX was immediately evident.
Conversations took place in dozens of languages, while exhibitors ranged from multinational technology giants to ambitious startups introducing entirely new categories of products.
The diversity of participants reflects Taiwan’s continued importance within the global technology supply chain and highlights COMPUTEX’s role as a critical meeting point for innovation, collaboration, and business development.
Industry Leaders Share Their Vision for the AI Era
COMPUTEX keynotes have traditionally served as a barometer for the direction of the technology industry, and 2026 was no exception.
This year’s keynote stage featured some of the most influential leaders in global technology, including:
- Cristiano Amon, President and CEO of Qualcomm
- Matt Murphy, Chairman and CEO of Marvell
- Lip-Bu Tan, CEO of Intel
- Rafael Sotomayor, President and CEO of NXP
Collectively, these sessions attracted more than 6,000 attendees and focused on topics such as AI computing, edge intelligence, next-generation platforms, connectivity, and intelligent mobility.
While each company approached the future from a different perspective, a common theme emerged throughout the presentations: AI is becoming the foundational layer upon which future technology ecosystems will be built.
InnoVEX Continues to Grow
Alongside COMPUTEX, InnoVEX once again proved why it remains one of Asia’s most important startup platforms.
This year, the exhibition reached a new milestone with more than 500 participating startups, representing an increase of over 11% compared to the previous year. Startups from 23 countries participated, while Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea emerged as the largest contributing regions.
The startup ecosystem was further strengthened through new partnerships with organizations such as Plug and Play Taiwan and Japanese innovation platform Everidge, creating additional opportunities for international collaboration and market expansion.
Particularly noteworthy was the growing emphasis on AI infrastructure, industrial deployment, automation, and enterprise transformation, signaling where many investors and startups believe the next wave of opportunities will emerge.
Sustainability Takes Centre Stage
Beyond AI and computing performance, COMPUTEX 2026 also demonstrated an increasing commitment to sustainability.
The exhibition continued to embrace Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) principles while encouraging exhibitors to adopt more environmentally responsible exhibition practices. New award categories under the Sustainable Design Awards recognized companies that successfully balanced innovation with environmental responsibility.
This growing emphasis reflects a broader industry trend.
As AI infrastructure expands and computational requirements continue to rise, sustainability is becoming an increasingly important consideration for hardware manufacturers, cloud providers, and technology companies alike.
Technology Meets Lifestyle
One of the most interesting developments at COMPUTEX over recent years has been the blending of technology with lifestyle experiences.
This trend continued strongly in 2026.
The introduction of the COMPUTEX Service Lounge, developed in collaboration with China Airlines and GQ, created a unique environment where business networking, hospitality, and lifestyle experiences converged. Meanwhile, interactive installations, wellness spaces, and art collaborations helped transform the exhibition into something more than a traditional trade show.
A particularly memorable installation came from renowned generative artist Aluan Wang, whose large-scale interactive artwork at the entrance of Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 invited visitors to generate unique visual creations displayed on six-meter LED columns. The installation served as a powerful example of how AI, creativity, and public participation can intersect in meaningful ways.
Looking Ahead to COMPUTEX 2027
If there is one conclusion to draw from COMPUTEX 2026, it is that the AI revolution has entered a new phase.
The focus is no longer purely on algorithms, models, or software applications. Instead, attention is shifting toward real-world implementation, industrial deployment, robotics, infrastructure, and physical systems powered by AI.
This year’s exhibition showcased not only where the industry is today, but where it is heading over the next decade.
From AI servers and edge computing platforms to robotics, intelligent mobility, and startup innovation, COMPUTEX 2026 provided a glimpse into a future where AI becomes deeply integrated into every aspect of society.
As the exhibition prepares to return from June 1–4, 2027, one thing is already clear: the next chapter of AI innovation will not be written by a single company or country.
It will be built together.
And if this year’s theme was any indication, that future is exactly what COMPUTEX intends to continue shaping.
