Alibaba has launched the international edition of QwenWork, an all-in-one workplace AI agent designed to handle tasks across research, content creation, automation, and application development.
Announced on August 26, 2026, QwenWork International Edition is now available globally in public beta through web and desktop versions. Alibaba is initially targeting individual professionals and organizations in fast-growing markets across Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
The platform combines capabilities from three of Alibaba’s existing AI agent products: QoderWork, MuleRun, and Wukong. Instead of moving between these services, users can access their capabilities through a single workspace.
Completing Tasks Through Natural-Language Instructions
QwenWork allows users to describe what they need in everyday language. The AI agent interprets the request, identifies the tools and capabilities required, and carries out the necessary steps.
With the user’s permission, QwenWork can navigate websites, operate a computer, conduct research, analyze information, prepare documents, and complete longer workflows involving multiple steps.
Users can monitor the agent’s progress, review intermediate results, and provide follow-up instructions to adjust the final output.
QwenWork is available through a subscription model with Basic and Advanced tiers. The two options are intended to support different workloads, ranging from routine content tasks to more complex reasoning and extended professional workflows.
QwenWork’s Main Features
- AI-powered task execution: Users can ask QwenWork to research topics, analyze information, prepare documents, and complete multistep workplace tasks.
- Personalized workflows: The desktop version includes an optional feature called Awareness, which remembers a user’s preferred collaboration style, working conventions, and relevant context between sessions. According to Alibaba, this reduces the need to repeat instructions whenever a new session begins. Users can turn the feature off at any time.
- Reusable Skills: Workflows that produce successful results can be saved as Skills and reused for similar tasks in the future.
- Web application development: QwenWork can build and deploy functional web applications from natural-language instructions without requiring users to write code or manage server deployment.
- Multimodal content tools: The platform can create and process text, images, video, and audio within the same workspace.
- Integrations and automation: Connectors give QwenWork access to authorized external services and data sources. Users can also schedule recurring tasks and workflows.
Alibaba Expands Its Agentic AI Platform Beyond China
The international launch marks Alibaba’s effort to bring QwenWork beyond the Chinese market and compete in the growing category of general-purpose workplace AI agents.
Rather than functioning only as a chatbot, QwenWork is positioned as an agent that can take action across applications and complete tasks on a user’s behalf. Its combination of productivity tools, content-generation features, integrations, and application-building capabilities could reduce the number of separate platforms needed for certain workflows.
The platform currently supports interfaces in English and Simplified Chinese. Alibaba plans to add Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and other languages later.
QwenWork International Edition is currently in public beta, so its features and subscription options may continue to evolve as Alibaba expands access and gathers feedback from international users.
