At Gamescom 2024, ROG isn’t just showcasing monitors and network products; they’re also unveiling a range of esports-ready peripherals.
Starting with the ROG Falchion Ace FHX wired gaming keyboard, it features a 65% layout in a compact 60% footprint. It’s equipped with the new ROG FHX magnetic switches, ushering in a new era of gaming keyboards with per-key actuation point adjustment from 0.1 to 4.0mm. The keyboard also boasts an 8000Hz polling rate and a 0.125ms response time.
There’s also the Rapid Trigger and Speed Tap (Or “null bind” or SOCD depending on what kind of games you come from) to let you “cheat” on the hardware level (Just don’t get banned for this, mind you).
The keyboard is designed with dampening foam and a silicon gasket mount, providing a softer typing experience than tray mount boards, though it doesn’t offer much flex. Additional features include a multifunction button and an interactive touch panel for instant access to customization and media controls, with an RGB light bar for added flair. Plus, it can connect to two PCs simultaneously, allowing easy switching with a simple toggle. Each retail package includes a keyboard cover.
For those who need a Numpad, the ROG Strix Scope II 96 RX wireless gaming keyboard might be the answer as it sports an 1800 layout and uses ROG RX optical switches with near-zero debounce delay.
It’s packed with foam, a multifunction button, and a wheel for controlling various functions. When paired with the ROG Polling Rate Booster USB dongle, it offers an 8000Hz polling rate and a 0.125ms response time.
This keyboard supports tri-mode connectivity, making it convenient for use across multiple devices. It also features ROG UV-coated ABS keycaps, giving it a distinctive look.
Moving to gaming mice, the ROG Harpe Ace Mini is a compact version of the ROG Harpe Ace, retaining all the features of the original in a 49-gram package. It includes a 42,000 DPI ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor with Track-On-Glass technology and a smooth matte coating.
The ROG Optical micro switch ensures instant actuation and a lifespan of 100 million clicks, while ROG SpeedNova delivers ultra-responsive 2.4GHz wireless performance with up to 105 hours of battery life. Additionally, the ROG Omni Receiver helps keep your USB ports free.
The ROG Strix Impact III is also getting an update with a new Moonlight White colorway. Apart from the color, everything else remains the same—if you liked it before, you’ll love it even more in this clean, crisp look.
Lastly, in the audio department, ROG introduces the Pelta, a tri-mode wireless gaming headset compatible with PCs, Macs, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and smartphones. It features 50mm titanium-plated diaphragm drivers that deliver rich, detailed sound across a frequency range from 20Hz to 20kHz. The 10mm super-wideband boom microphone ensures clear voice capture.
Designed for long gaming sessions, the Pelta offers maximum comfort with its elastic fabric headband and lightweight 309g design. A full charge provides up to 60 hours of battery life in 2.4GHz mode, and if you forget to charge it, a quick 15-minute charge gives you around 3 hours of use.
