Just like most PC and laptop manufacturers, Acer has introduced a couple of new products housing the new ‘Meteor Lake’ Intel Core Ultra mobile processors.
First, we have the Predator Triton Neo 16. Although the list of actual available options for the CPU remains unrevealed, at least we know that it is an H-series processor so more power across the board and of course, with the dedicated NPU for some AI acceleration and Intel Application Optimization for even more efficient computing.
Combined with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, RAM and storage capacity are still up to potential changes but I think it’ll be somewhere at 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD (Take it with a grain of salt).
For the screen, it can go up to 16:10 3.2K resolution with 165Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 which is also Calman Verified for a decent level of color accuracy. The NVIDIA Advanced Optimun and G-SYNC further elevate the gaming experience by removing screen tearing.
The new Acer Purified Voice 2.0 technology makes use of AI filtering to capture your clear voice without causing some sort of echo issue so that you can freely join any video calls while using external speakers and such.
As usual, the machine inherits the 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan + vector heat pipes + liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU for absolute heat dissipation performance. The upgraded Predator Sense 5.0 utility app now provides even more control in terms of fan speed and RGB profiles.
I/O also includes HDMI, Thunderbolt 4, and MicroSD in addition to the usual USB-A and stuff.
It will go on sale starting March next year from USD1,499.99.
For the non-gamers, the Swift Go 14 will help you power through your daily tasks with ease with the Intel Core Ultra 155H CPU with Intel Evo certification that delivers superior performance across all sorts of tasks thanks to Intel AI Boost and the integrated Intel Arc GPU.
The addition of Intel Unison means that any iOS or Android-powered device is supported from the get-go, allowing stuff like file transfer, calling, messaging, and more.
Battery life-wise, Acer gives it an “up to 12.5 hours” rating while the screen is a lovely 2.8K OLED with 100% DCI-P3 and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification alongside a 90Hz refresh rate. Touch screen gang can opt for the WUXGA option instead.
Frequent online conference attendees will appreciate the 1440p webcam that captures your face nice and crisp while the audio department shares the same Acer Purified Voice 2.0 tech as mentioned before.
Aside from Windows Copilot which can help deal with tons of things through the power of generative AI, the rest of the package is pretty standard – a wide range of I/O, Intel WiFi 6E, Bluetooth LE Audio, etc – all encased within a 1.32kg light and 14.9mm thin chassis.
This model starts from USD799.99 and will be made available starting January 2024.
