ASUS Singapore has announced the arrival of 3 new motherboards belonging to AMD’s latest A620 chipset selection which is the budget buy for the AM5 platform.
All of them are of the microATX form factor so they are A620M for technicality’s sake.
We’ll look at the TUF Gaming series first which has the A620M-PLUS WIFI and A620M-PLUS. Even though it is of the lowest tier, the TUF Gaming boards aren’t the bottom line models by any means as they have 2x PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots for storage and 1x front USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 connection with a neat 2.5GbE wired internet connection and WiFi 6 for those buying the PLUS WIFI model. The usual orange accent and minor gold traces here and there make the board less boring.
For those who need to go lower or don’t require as much, the PRIME A620M-A should do the trick with one less PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot and the absence of the WiFi chipset but the rest of the specs are pretty much the same.
Price and Availability
At the time of writing, only the ASUS TUF Gaming A620M-PLUS WIFI is ready for purchase at the price of $265 while the other 2 models are still waiting for finalization.
