SINGAPORE, 17 November 2021 – UCARS, Singapore’s fastest-growing online car marketplace, is gearing up to present EV Weekend, the nation’s first and largest electric vehicle (EV) event, this December. The event will be held physically at Resorts World Sentosa and virtually online from 3rd December to 12th December, with a virtual livestream on 9th December. It will be the first event to bring together top EV leaders and industry giants such as Mercedes-EQ, Audi, BMW, Mini, MG, Kia, Bridgestone, Pirelli, BlackVue, ST Engineering and EV Association of Singapore (EVAS). Supported by CarBuyer and Top Gear Singapore, EV Weekend is the go-to event for consumers to connect with their ideal car and learn more about the sustainability and benefits of EVs.
The EV industry is picking up pace in Southeast Asia as well as Singapore, with a strong push from the government to encourage the use of more environmentally friendly vehicles and speed up adoption of EVs. An interactive EV360 showroom is also available for those who are unable to attend the event in person.
Get an inside look at EV ownership (9th December) – A lively panel discussion and brand presentation from industry experts, regulators and EV owners revolving around the topics of sustainability, car ownership and the EV industry.
