SINGAPORE, 30 April 2020 — The leader in innovation in the monitor segment, LG Electronics launched the 2020 lineup of LG UltraGear™ and LG UltraWide™ models in Singapore this week. Designed to maximise user experience regardless for work or play, the new range of monitors have been honoured as winners of the CES Innovation Awards at CES® 2020 where the new range was first announced, and LG continues to lead the LG Ultrawide monitor segment as the Global No. 1 Ultrawide Brand for seven years running[1].
2020 LG UltraGear™ Gaming Monitor
The new LG UltraGear™ gaming monitors, 34GN850 and 27GL650, continue to build on the lineup’s strong reputation for blistering response speed and excellent picture quality. Demonstrated earlier this year by LG’s first one millisecond Gray-to-Gray (GTG) IPS display, LG’s gaming monitors set the standard for speedy performance and gorgeous visuals, regardless of game genre.
The new 34-inch LG UltraGear™ model boasts a 1ms Nano IPS display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, along with an impressive overclockable 160Hz limit for performance enthusiasts. The unit also offers hardware calibration to maximize the ability of LG’s IPS technology to create precise colour reproduction. Supporting VESA DisplayHDR 400, the display is not only capable of delivering rich and crystal-clear image at remarkable speeds, the display is also HDR and NVIDIA G-SYNC® Compatible, offering variable rate refresh and adaptive sync technology.
The 27GL650 expands on the LG UltraGear™ lineup by presenting an affordable choice for gamers with a monitor that is designed with gaming in mind, while remaining compact with its smaller form factor, making it suitable for most play areas. This new LG 27-inch UltraGear™ monitor has an FHD (1980 x 1080) IPS Display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and 5ms GTG, and is also Radeon FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC® Compatible.
2020 LG UltraWide™ Monitor
For content creators and people looking for the ultimate multi-tasking display, LG has expanded its LG UltraWide™ range with new expansive monitors – LG 29-inch UltraWide™ FHD IPS Display (model 29WN600) and LG 34-inch UltraWide™ QHD IPS Curved Display (model 34WN80C).
Leveraging on its expertise in advanced display technologies, these new LG UltraWide™ monitors offer impressive real estate for users to elevate their workspace with the special 21:9 aspect ratio and panoramic viewing, combined with intuitive features like Dual Controller and OnScreen Control to optimize productivity. Users can multi-task with multiple windows and programmes at once while motion content creators like video editors can view longer tracks of video clips when editing videos. These new monitors provide the perfect solution for people looking to elevate their work stations in their offices or at home, without having to purchase multiple monitors.
The 34WN80C also comes with an expanded offering in terms of connectivity – with the USB Type-C port, allowing devices like laptops and mobile devices to not only share content with the monitor, but also charge the devices all through a single cable.
The new LG UltraWide™ monitors also display 99% coverage of the sRGB spectrum, producing full-bodied colours perfect for content creators like photographers and graphic designers.
“Our 2020 monitor lineup surpasses expectations with professional-level performance, picture quality and speed,” said Lee Chang Ha, Product Director of LG Home Entertainment. “The LG 34-inch UltraGear model offers superior picture quality for the ultimate gaming experience and the 34-inch UltraWide builds on LG’s legacy of excellence in 21:9 displays.”
All four new LG UltraGear™ and LG UltraWide™ monitors are available at authorized retailers Best Denki, Challenger, COURTS, Harvey Norman and Gain City from 30 April 2020. Full specifications and prices can be found in ANNEX A.
