Not sure if by sheer coincidence or deliberate action, the new NVIDIA RTX SUPER Graphics Card will be launched on the 9th July, two days after the official release of AMD’s RX 5700 series Navi GPUs.
There will be three new graphics card from the RTX SUPER series, namely the RTX 2080 SUPER, RTX 2070 SUPER and RTX 2060 SUPER. Both the RTX 2080 SUPER and RTX 2070 SUPER will replace the current vanilla RTX 2080 and RTX 2070. The current RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2060 lineup will still be retained in NVIDIA’s RTX graphics card lineup.
For the initial release, all 3 RTX SUPER Founder Edition reference cards will be available on NVIDIA’s official online shop. The MSRP are as follows:
Product Name | MSRP | Availability |
RTX 2080 SUPER | US$699 | 23rd July 2019 |
RTX 2070 SUPER | US$499 | 9th July 2019 |
RTX 2060 SUPER | US$399 | 9th July 2019 |
It has been said that the RTX 2070 SUPER is about 22% faster than the current RTX 2070 graphics card. We will better understand the performance and specifications of these new cards when we get our hands on them for review in the near future.
AIB partners are also expected to release the new custom RTX SUPER series graphics card soon.
