Over $10,000 worth of products going under the hammer from $1 including the Apple iPhone X, Nokia 8, MacBook Air, Nintendo Switch and more
Singapore, 11 December 2017 – First there was e-commerce, then livestreaming, and now live-commerce. The new rage in shopping for the smartphone generation is live commerce, where a livestream host will talk about his or her favourite products while offering them for sale through the live-streaming app.
Starting today for the next 12 days, homegrown live-streaming app BeLive will be working with popular local live-streaming hosts to offer over $10000 worth of products for auction in its new live-commerce channel called Marketplace. Each item starts with a minimum bid of $1 and viewers can simply key in the amount they would like to bid for in their app. After 10 to 15 minutes, the auction ends and the highest bidder gets to purchase the item at his or her bid price. The auctions will run daily between 9pm to 9.30pm from December 11 to December 22. All proceeds of sponsored products will go to a charity of the sponsor’s choice.
Mr Kenneth Tan, chief executive officer of BeLive said: “We want to introduce a new way of shopping and entertainment to Singapore consumers while experiencing the Christmas spirit of gifting by letting consumers stand a chance of getting their favourite products at a steal.”
Since launching in April this year, BeLive has garnered over 150,000 users and over 15,000 live stream channels.
