The New Canon PIXMA Ink Efficient E3170 Promises More Fun and Savings

SINGAPORE, 6 October 2017 – Canon today announced the introduction of the new
PIXMA Ink Efficient E3170 all-in-one printer, complete with copy and scan
functions. Ideal for study labs and home offices, the PIXMA E3170 is equipped
with low-cost, high yield ink cartridges to offer cost and space savings even
for high volume printing.

With the affordable
PG-47 (black) and CL-57S (colour), the PIXMA E3170 delivers high-volume, low
cost printing at up to 400 monochrome documents and 180 colour pages respectively.
With the option of the CL-57 high yield ink cartridge, the page yield goes up
to 300 pages.

In addition to this
cost-efficient ownership, the PIXMA E3170 offers versatility through its
ability to produce high quality prints for both documents and photos. For
document output, the printer is capable of printing at 7.7 images per minute
(ipm) when printing in monochrome, and 4.0 ipm when printing in colour. Images
can be printed with borderless settings for 4R, 5×5 and 5R sizes.

The PIXMA E3170 comes equipped with a 1.5-inch
segment-LCD display with intuitive icons that serve as a user-guide. As such,
the multiple operational steps from wireless setup to making multiple copies
using different document sizes are simplified and can be managed with ease.

The enhanced operation panel features one-touch
switching to direct wireless connection and back to standard network
infrastructure mode, making it easy for friends and guests to connect and print
without the need to divulge confidential wireless network passwords.

The printers also support intelligent power
management in the Auto Power ON/OFF setting. This means that the printer will
automatically shut down after a period of inactivity, and powered up again when
a print job is received.  This setting
can be configured easily using the printer driver, or using the Canon PRINT
Inkjet/SELPHY app.

With its built-in Wi-Fi capabilities,
installing the PIXMA E3170 in any environment within a local wireless[1]
network will be a seamless and easy process. Even without a wireless router,
the PIXMA E3170 is able to support direct wireless connection with mobile
devices and tablets for printing of documents and photos.

When paired with the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY
app, users can print and scan using their iPhones, iPads, or any Android OS
device. From the app, users can also view remaining ink levels, make changes to
printer settings, and register their printers to new cloud services.

The PIXMA E3170 is also cloud-aware, offering
true print-from-anywhere mobility using the free PIXMA Cloud Link or Google
Cloud Print services.

The PIXMA
E3170 is currently available at all Canon authorised dealers at the recommended
retail price of $149.00.
