CommunicAsia2017 – Asia’s largest ICT

industry leaders you don’t want to miss at CommunicAsia2017!

John Berns,
Senior Vice President – Head of Data Science, Lazada Group

At the heart of Lazada’s data science team, John Berns, Senior
Vice President and Head of Data Science, will tell you that customer insights
are more important than ever for online businesses. Since joining Lazada Group,
John has been instrumental in the formation and growth of the data science
team, data engineering team and data infrastructure, which has spurred Lazada’s
growth as Southeast Asia’s largest e-commerce company. Big data is key to
Lazada’s operation in the e-commerce arena and grants actionable insights,
allowing the team to improve the shopping experience for its customers. He will
be speaking more on harnessing the power of big data and analytics to drive
additional value and revenue streams for businesses in his session.

 Richard Koh,
Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft

As
Chief Technology Officer, Richard Koh guides technology policies, standards,
legal and regulatory matters, as well as security, privacy and compliance
decisions for Microsoft Singapore. Previously based in Microsoft’s headquarters
in Redmond, Washington, he was part of the founding product team for
Microsoft’s flagship productivity suite – Office 365. Richard also helps drives
Singapore’s Smart Nation initiatives by bringing on board Microsoft’s products
and services. He will be part of a panel that will discuss boosting the
capabilities of data centers and integrating new technologies such as big data
analytics and IoT. 

Wing Lee, CEO, YTL Communications Sdn Bhd

Wing
Lee is the CEO of YTL Communications, one of the key telco providers in
Malaysia. He led the company in the creation of Yes 4G network, the world’s
first nationwide converged 4G network and the largest 4G network in South East
Asia. An inventor at heart with a passion for networking systems, Wing holds 12
US patents on wireless and networking systems and has over 20 others pending.
He was also recognized as the Asian American Engineer of the Year at the 51st National
Engineers Week. Wing will be part of a panel that will discuss how businesses
can develop their digital roadmap and redevelop the customer experience through
the use of data analytics and business intelligence.

Bernie Trudel, Chairman and ExCo Member, Asia Cloud Computing
Association

Bernie is the co-founder and Chairman of the Asia Cloud Computing
Association, a non-profit organization aimed at accelerating the adoption of
cloud computing in the region. With over 30 years of experience in the ICT
industry and in 20 yearsof experience in Cisco technology alone, Bernie’s
in-depth knowledge of network security and network application services makes
him an invaluable advisor to customers on building sustainable data center and
network architectures for hosting and delivering cloud services. Bernie also
holds two patents to his name, relating to telephone systems and programming
modules, which improve both operation and multi-functions. He will be part of a
panel discussing transforming traditional IT infrastructures and modernizing
the data center for speed, connectivity and capabilities such as big data
analytics and IoT.

Andrew Milroy, Senior Vice President, Information &
Communication Technologies, Frost & Sullivan

As
lead of the ICT Practice at Frost & Sullivan, Andrew Milroy has more than
20 years of experience in the ICT industry, having lived and worked across the
United States, Europe, and Asia Pacific. He has held senior management roles at
Frost & Sullivan and IDC, and co-founded NelsonHall, an outsourcing
advisory firm in the United States. Andrew is a renowned expert in his field
and will be speaking on the potential of IoT and how companies realize full
business value in his session.
