The
4K600STZ combines high image quality and durability in a compact size while
ensuring peace of mind with its lamp-free design for low-maintenance

SINGAPORE, 12 April 2017 – Canon today
announced the launch of the new 4K600STZ projector. The compact-sized projector
incorporates a new laser light source system and AISYS optical illumination
system. This system delivers an impressive output of 6,000 lumens (lm) and 4K
resolution, bringing visuals to life with new levels of detail and sharpness.

At 4096 x 2400, the resolution of the 4K600STZ
produces higher resolution images with richer details exceeding that of QFHD
(3840 x 2169), the standard resolution for 4K TV and 4K Digital Cinema
Initiative (DCI) (4096 x 2160). Also, the 4K600STZ comes equipped with High
Dynamic Range (HDR) technology which expands the dynamic range and colour gamut
to render vivid projection of high resolution images.

Laser
light technology offers high durability, performance and versatile applications

The new laser light source technology on the
4K600STZ offers users the benefits of durability and significant cost savings
from a lamp-free design. With a lifespan of more than 20,000 hours, the
4K600STZ is capable of round-the-clock operations and only requires minimal
time for routine maintenance without the need for lamp replacements. 

Further leading its class in this market
segment, the AISYS optical system on the projector projects vivid images with
excellent contrast. The 6,000 lm blue laser diode and yellow phosphor generates
optimal white light for vivid and high colour fidelity even in a wide variety
of lighting conditions – up to 99% sRGV coverage rate to produce a wide colour
gamut. 

Another advantage that the laser light source
technology offers is the versatility of set up with 360 degrees free
installation. While a conventional lamp projector cannot be installed with its
side surface facing down, the laser light source in 4K600STZ enables projection
anywhere along the vertical axis to easily facilitate vertical portrait
projections.

Extremely
realistic 4K high resolution images

The genuine 4K lens on the 4K600STZ can project
images up to 600 inches with minimal aberrations to the image. The wide zoom
lens creates a 120-inch large screen image at a projection distance of 2.7
meters, resulting from a throw ratio of 1.0-1.3. In addition to the deep depth
of focus at F2.6, the 4K600STZ also has a marginal focus feature, enabling high
quality image projection to be rendered brightly on to a variety of surfaces,
including curved surfaces.

With high brightness of 6,000 lm across the
entire zoom region, the projector is suitable for use in outdoor display
applications, even with high levels of ambient light. Equipped with a uniquely
developed 4K high performance engine, the 4K600STZ smoothly reproduces 4K
videos at 60 frames per second using high-speed image processing technology
that reduces motion blur.

Achieve
beautifully blended images with multiple projectors

With Canon’s edge blending technology, multiple
4K600STZ projectors can be combined to provide large scale, seamlessly blended
images with minimal distortion. Four-corner keystone correction ensures images
stay in geometric proportions and makes the set-up process simple and
achievable by allowing the corners of the images to be adjusted to ensure
optimal image reproduction.

A wide
variety of interfaces and connections

In terms of connectivity, the 4K600STZ
offers a series of industry-standard interfaces to ensure high compatibility
with a wide variety of devices, including two HDMI, and four DVI inputs
supporting single, stripe and cross configurations for 4K, 2K or HD video
playback.

With built-in Wi-Fi, the 4K600STZ
supports versatile applications and ease of installation through interoperation
between service apps and computers or smart devices, using which consumers can
remotely operate the projector. Additionally, the use of Wi-Fi facilitates
access to the 4K600STZ’s fault alerts and adjustment settings.
