The virtual busking platform lets streamers
receive virtual gifts like flowers, teddy bears and even mansions from their
fans in real time. These virtual kudos are purchased with real moolah and the
streamer gets a substantial cut of the revenue when they receive these digital
items.

Live streaming is the new social. Facebook,
Instagram, YouTube and Twitch all have live streaming services now. In North
and East Asian countries such as China, Japan and Korea, live streaming
services with in-app purchases started to make an impact about a year ago but
this phenomenon is still relatively new in South-east Asia. In China
alone, live streaming is predicted to be a US$5 billion market by
the end of 2017, according to a report last year by Credit Suisse. (https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/chinese-millennials-created-5-billion-100943062.html).

virtual-busking style of live streaming is the rage right now but it is still
nascent in South-east Asia. We believe that this is next frontier of personal
entertainment and want to put Singapore as a forerunner in what may well be the
next big thing in social media and the Internet.”
