Canon’s V2 colour and imaging
technology promises outstanding colour prints and streamlined workflows 

SINGAPORE, 15 NOVEMBER 2016 – Canon today unveiled the imageRUNNER
ADVANCE (iR-ADV) C7500i Series, comprising the iR-ADV C7580i and iR-ADV C7570i,
the newest models to join the new generation iR-ADV platform. These A3
multifunction office devices (MFDs) were designed for producing vivid and superior
quality prints with a wide range of finishing options, best suited for 
high-volume print environments such as large offices, schools, universities or
other self-service environments.

convenient and security features available in our multifunctional devices.”

Delivering finesse in colour and print
expertise

The new iR-ADV C7500i series employs the V2 colour
profile as well as some of the proven engine and imaging technologies from the
imagePRESS production space to render class-leading image quality. The Red
Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (R-VCSEL) technology helps users to
achieve crisp, clear colour prints with 2400 x 2400 dpi print resolution. The
Consistently Vivid (CV) Toner is deployed for colour stability and brilliant
images even on thicker paper type up to 300 gsm, uncoated, coated and textured
paper types. In addition, the CV toner is designed for significantly higher
yields from previous models, as well as greater drum yields. It also provides
long-term stability of color reproducibility and image quality, without
sacrificing speed in a high-volume print environment.

Workflow Efficiency

To many businesses, productivity is paramount.
The iR-ADV C7500i
series features several key productivity-enhancing improvements to help promote workflow efficiency, manage
access and control with fleet management capability for multi-user environments.

Delivering Canon’s signature ease of operation
to the digital business environment, the scan operation features have been
enhanced. The standard “Skip Blank Originals” feature automatically detects
blank pages when scanning originals and removes them from the generated file.
This feature is especially useful when scanning two-sided originals when only
some pages have content on the second side – creating more useful and accurate
files.

As this series of iR-ADV is targeted at high
volume multi-office users’ environment, it is important that the procedure to
use and maintain the print device is simple and user-friendly. With Intuitive
User Walkthrough videos, users can watch video demonstrations on common
maintenance procedures such as how to replace the toner, staple cartridges,
drum replacement and so forth. In addition, when working in sync with the
Department ID feature, cost accounting by group usage can be generated for
tracking purposes.    

Diverse Finishing Options

Organisations that need to make use of a wide
array of finished materials will benefit from the variety of new finishing
options included in the iR-ADV C7500i series. A variety of finishing
possibilities can be added to these models, including folding, hole-punching,
document inserting, multi-position and saddle stitch stapling and
booklet-making. In addition, users can make use of Staple-on-Demand and
Staple-free Stapling features. 

Security Features

In order to help organisations control access
to sensitive information, the iR-ADV C7500i series features a set of standard
and allows for optional security capabilities. As part of the new generation
iR-ADV platform, these MFDs include a standard Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Encryption
function with FIPS140-2 validation. When activated, this function automatically
encrypts data stored on the main unit’s HDD, thereby helping to restrict access
to the customer’s data. The standard HDD Erase feature can be enhanced with an
optional feature that allows you to schedule the timing and also create a
confirmation report. The
new series will also be able to ensure rightful access of authorised users
through the user friendly picture log-in user authentication feature.

For enhanced additional security, it can
integrate with the Canon Access Management System, which allows users to
configure users’ access rights on a feature by feature basis. The Access
Management System plug-in is a simple solution that can be implemented today to
provide effective cost control and heightened confidentiality.
