Schneider Electric Showcases Innovation At Every Level at its Life Is On Innovation Summit

Singapore, September
26, 2016 – Schneider Electric,
the global specialist in energy management and automation, today hosted its
Life is On Innovation Summit in Singapore. The full-day summit saw more than
300 participants, representing government, businesses and academia from 12
countries across Asia Pacific discuss the latest trends, technologies and
innovations that are shaping the region’s world of energy and automation.

The Singapore Innovation
Summit is an extension of Schneider Electric’s Paris Innovation Summit, which
was held from March 31 – April 2.

Schneider Innovation at Every
Level harnesses the power and promise of the Internet of Things
to reshape cities, transform industries and enrich lives through connected
products, edge control, and apps, analytics and services.

Connected
Technologies for an Exciting Region
“Asia Pacific remains

the region manage its energy and processes in ways that are safe, reliable,

The highlight of the
Singapore Innovation Summit was Schneider Electric’s CEO and Chairman
Jean-Pascal Tricoire’s opening keynote, explaining the company’s “Innovation at
Every Level” promise – to redefine power and automation for a new world of
energy which is more electric, decarbonized, decentralized and digitized, and
ensure Life Is On everywhere, for everyone and at every moment.

Managing Director at Lux Research – Asia Pacific, said: “Operational

Electric is driving the much needed transformation at the intersection of IT

The Summit focused on
many themes for which innovation and the use of the latest technologies are
key, including Efficient Buildings for a Cooler Planet, The New World of Energy
in 3D+E, Intuitive Industries, Data Center: In the Cloud and at the Edge, and Power
Distribution Redefined.

Nguyen Manh Tung,
Director, GTECHS Vietnam, said: “IoT can transform Vietnam into a smart
nation. The priority areas include smart grid and transportation. We would like
to bring the devices and sensors shown by Schneider Electric at the Life Is On
Innovation Summit to Vietnam and apply it to applications locally. Especially

On the sidelines of
the Summit, an Innovation Hub allowed delegates to experience first-hand
Schneider Electric’s latest innovations and solutions for buildings, factories,
plants, data centers and homes. Theseinnovations and solutions bring
connectivity – made possible with the Internet of Things, mobility and
analytics to systems where the IT and OT spaces converge, helping customers
achieve greater efficiency, reliability, sustainability and safety.

At the event,
Schneider Electric also unveiled its “Light It Up” programme to bring access to
electricity to rural communities across the Asia Pacific region. From mid-
September to early November this year, Schneider Electric employees will
distribute more than 1,800 units of the Mobiya solar lamps to rural
communities in 12 countries across the region.
