Singapore, 23 September 2016 – Casio Singapore presents the EXILIM EX-ZR5000, the latest addition to Casio’s EXILIM ZR series of compact digital cameras. Available in Singapore from today, it now features an upgraded 19mm super wide-angle lens and Wide View Photo mode to deliver expansive and high-impact scenic photographs.
Capture sweeping landscapes with a 19mm super wide-angle lens
Documenting holidays is even easier with the EX-ZR5000 as it can now capture more action in one frame with a 19mm super wide-angle lens, perfect for fitting in scenic backgrounds even in ‘selfies’ and ‘wefies’. Its bright F2.7 moulded glass lens also produces sharper images with outstanding resolution by correcting optical aberration, reducing surface reflection and ghosting.
Instantly create and share eye-catching mini movies
In addition to the camera’s standard Highlight Movie and Highlight Photo functions, an added Wide View Photo mode instantly creates shareable travel highlights by capturing two versions of the same image – a focused zoomed-in and a zoomed-out wide-angle version – to create a fun zoom-to-wide-angle still image animation.
Animations created using Wide View Photo offer a completely different impression as they gradually reveal the background view, resulting in delightful and surprising moments to share with friends and family on social media.
Always capture the ‘good side’ with mirror-image shooting
With the EX-ZR5000’s inverted processing feature, it eliminates the need to manually flip ‘selfies’ or ‘wefies’. Once an image is captured using the front shutter, it is automatically inverted from left to right to process the image as it appears on the screen.

The sleek EX-ZR5000 camera comes in white, pink, and green models, as well as in black with a limited production.

The new EX-ZR5000 camera also comes equipped with various other functions to help users capture and share stunning images easily:
· Tilt-type LCD and front shutter for ‘selfies’
The tilt-type LCD enables users to check the angle of the shot and composition while taking a self-portrait, and the convenient Front Shutter makes it easy to take vertical self-portraits.
· Motion Shutter detector
The Motion Shutter feature enables users to activate the shutter by simply waving a hand in front of the camera, which makes taking ‘selfies’ even more fun and easy.
· 1/1.7-inch back-illuminated CMOS image sensor
The large sensor ensures outstanding resolution when shooting in dim lighting conditions and capturing quick-moving subjects.
· HS Anti-Shake Effect
The camera’s 5-axis image stabilisation delivers precise correction to compensate for any blur caused by shaky hands when aiming the camera.
· All-In-Focus Macro mode
The All-In-Focus Macro mode keeps everything in the shot in sharp focus, from close-range subjects to distant backgrounds.
· Premium Auto Pro function
Under difficult shooting conditions such as backlit, night-time and zoom photography, the camera analyses the scene automatically and uses optimal settings and processing to produce beautiful images.
· Triple Shot and high-speed burst shooting
The Triple Shot function captures the moment as well as the moments before and after by shooting a burst of three images with only one shutter press. The EX-ZR5000 is also capable of high-speed continuous shooting of up to 30 frames per second with a maximum of 30 images, offering a distance shooting performance exceeding that of SLR cameras and the ability to capture fast-moving subjects and crucial highlights.
· EXILIM Engine HS Ver. 3 for high-speed performance
Equipped with a dual CPU and two parallel image processors, the EX-ZR5000 offers a fast start-up time of only 1.2 seconds, high-speed autofocus in 0.17 seconds, a lightning-fast shutter response of 0.015 seconds, and a rapid capture interval as short as 0.22 seconds.
· Make-up Mode
The Make-up Mode brings out the user’s beauty with remarkable clarity, creating natural and fresh-looking skin tones to achieve the ideal look for feminine skin.
· Selfie Art
Users can choose from five artistic effects and add them to self-portraits to make the images even more beautiful.
· Camera to smartphone connectivity through Bluetooth® Smart[1]
Bluetooth® Smart technology enables and controls a constant connection between the camera and a smartphone through the EXILIM Connect application which is available for download on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
· EXILIM Auto Transfer to facilitate image-sharing
With the EXILIM Auto Transfer technology, images can be sent to a connected smartphone automatically after they are taken by the EX-ZR5000, making the process of sharing the images on social media quick and convenient.
