China based smartphone innovator and manufacturer Gionee will be launching their flagship M6 and M6 Plus smartphones later today at China National Convention Center. The M series lineup from Gionee differentiates themselves from competitors with extended battery life, allowing users to have their smartphones to last more than a single day with a full charge.
Gionee has been working on a new hardware security chip that is embedded on the new M6 and M6 Plus smartphones. These chips are suited directly for the Chinese market, where data is sensitive and mobile payment solutions are prevalent. Moreover, the new chip is said to change the way users think about the security of a smartphone. More details of this chip will be shared later, and The Tech Revolutionist will live at the launch event unravel this mysterious technology.
Rumours has it that the M6 will be powered by a Snapdragon 652 chipset, which will place the smartphone in a much affordable price range. The M6 will come with 4GB of internal RAM and 32GB of non-expandable memory. It will also spot a 5.5″ AMOLED 1080p Full HD resolution display. At the camera side of the house, the device will feature a 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out from the box.
The M6 Plus differs with a larger screen size and an extremely large battery capacity which is rated at a whooping out of the world 6020mAh. It could possibly mean up to 3 days of phone usage on a single charge.
