China Telecom Global Partners with JSC Kazakhtelecom to Deliver Low Latency and High-capacity Route

HONG KONG, APRIL 29, 2016 – China Telecom Global (CTG) and JSC Kazakhtelecom (KT) held a signing ceremony on 21 April, 2016, regarding a new cooperation in delivering a low latency, high-capacity route via the Europe-Asia Link “Transit Silk Road” spanning from Hong Kong to Frankfurt at 162ms latency.

While CTG has been a network service provider between Asia and Europe through transit China-Kazakhstan since 2012, this partnership represents CTG’s first direct cooperation with KT. As the two fixed network market leaders in its own country, this partnership  marks a milestone for both companies and reinforces the quality of the solution via Transit Silk Road cable to Eurasian transit consumers.

Both companies shared the view that this contract would not only lay a solid foundation for further business collaboration in the future, but also make a significant contribution to the Belt and Road Initiative. CTG would continue working with partners for further cooperation opportunities along the route.
