today announced a new addition to the company’s EF Cinema Lens line-up, the
CN-E18-80mm T4.4 L IS KAS S. As the first lens in the new COMPACT-SERVO series,
this new cinema lens can be used with the super 35mm sensor-equipped 4K and HD
cameras. The lens employs an EF mount and a compact, lightweight[1]
body design that is unique to this new lens series.

The CN-E18-80mm T4.4 L IS KAS S features an 18 – 80 mm[2]
focal length range, excellent operability and handling to accommodate varied
shooting styles, and is capable of providing a level of optical performance for
use with 4K cameras and HD cameras. The lens accommodates tripod, rig, and also
handheld and shoulder-mounted shooting, making it suitable for a diverse range
of on-location shooting situations such as weddings, serial dramas,
commercials, documentaries, and field reporting.
