“The LX projectors are designed to address the growing demand for
versatile projectors capable of producing brighter, vivid images consistently
and reliably,” said Edwin Teoh, Head of Marketing, Singapore Operations,
Canon Singapore. “With features such as its interchangeable Colour Wheels
and lens options for the LX-MU700, users are assured greater flexibility and

With its dual lamp system, the LX-MU700 is
capable of delivering high brightness of up to 7,500 lumens[1]
while ensuring reduced projector maintenance for installations in challenging
areas. Combined with its contrast ratio of 2100:1[2],
interchangeable lens options with motorised lens shift for installation
flexibility, and its ability to produce images in high resolution[3],
the LX-MU700 is uniquely suited for use in exhibition, digital signage, and
large auditoriums.

The LX-MU700 offers two interchangeable Colour
Wheels, 6 Segment-BRT and 6 Segment-COL, that optimises image quality in terms
of brightness and colour. The 6 Segment-BRT colour wheel emphasises on
brightness and improves readability of computer graphics such as charts,
graphs, and text. On the other hand, the 6 Segment-COL colour wheel ensures
that colours are portrayed accurately, delivering richer colours with greater
mid-tone balance. The projector would perform well with the display of video
content or pictorial diagrams in colour.

With seven interchangeable lens, remote
installation of the LX-MU700 is made simple, as the lenses can be quickly
connected or removed by pushing the release button (refer to Appendix for more
details).The motorised lens shift [4]function
also enhances installation versatility. Users can adjust the vertical and
horizontal positioning of the projected image, and motorised zoom and focus,
with the use of the included remote. The projector’s lens memory function can
be used to store up to 10 different custom lens positions, each including lens
shift, zoom, and focal length.

Employing the BrilliantColour™ technology, the
three projector models incorporates a new colour processing algorithm and
system level improvements to boost the secondary colour and deliver reliable
and precise colour for extended hours. The projectors’ enhanced brightness
levels and features allow for a wider range of settings, and can be used in
exhibitions, lecture halls and classrooms.

The new LX projectors are equipped with a
built-in HDBaseT receiver that enables uncompressed HD video, audio, and
control signals to be transmitted over a single LAN cable of up to 100 metres.
All three projectors are compatible with Crestron, AMX and Extron devices,
enabling control of multiple projectors on a network. The projectors also
supports PJLink which allows users to control and monitor the projector over a
network, a feature that is ideal for observing lamp hours, usage, and more.

The LX-MU700 is also capable of supporting HDMI,
DVI-D, DisplayPort, 5BNC, and VGA, while the LX-MW500 and LX-MU500 will provide
MHL® standard support, a first amongst Canon’s LX range of projectors. This
enables screen mirroring from Android devices, eliminating the need for a
computer and thereby greatly enhancing user convenience.
