The average citizen of today’s connected world need to always stay online. Aesthetics
Lenovo Miix 2 8 stand out from the rest of the Windows 8 tablets in the market thanks to its unique design. The main area of aesthetic is its sleek frontal view. By using a highly glossy glass that is framed within a shiny metallic border, the tablet exudes professionalism and vigor of manliness, like a man in a formal suit. The Windows home button is then naturally integrated into the display at the center of the bottom of the tablet for easy access. Lastly, the design is garnished with the classy Lenovo logo situated at the top left corner of the device, next to the front webcam.
To contrast the excellent front design of the Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet, the back of the device is made up of a full grayish textured cover. The front metallic parts also connects to the back of the device at the bottom, bring out the essence of different metal elements. Lastly, the webcam and speakers are placed at the top of the device in a minimalistic manner, concluding the clean design that Lenovo has came out with for this tablet.

Camera

In terms of photos captured by the camera, we thought that Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet works just like any other smartphone camera. Judging that ZenFone has a reputation for its above average camera, the Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet performs very similarly to it.
Speakers
The quality of built in speakers is paramount to the entertainment value of a tablet device. However, we realised that the speakers from Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet was substandard. Despite it being stereo speakers as advertised in the specifications, both speaker drivers are actually placed side by side to each other, thus defeating the purpose of having stereo speakers. The lows of sounds played were also not significant enough to make the tablet a good entertainment device. The speakers should still be acceptable for users who listens to light music on the go. Luckily, there is a 3.5mm audio jack that saves this tablet from its audio production mediocrity.
Display
In comparison of displays, Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet stands out not only because of its bigger screen, giving users a better entertainment experience, but better colours and brighter screen are also plus points to the tablet.
Conclusion
For someone like me who needs to be online all the time and enjoy the productivity of a Windows tablet, the Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet device suits me well. Thanks to the availability of a 3G model, I can now work everywhere with my data SIM card. Moreover, as the tablet is based on Intel’s Baytrail platform and runs on a Intel Atom x86 processor, I can install all kinds of productivity and utility software to get my work done even faster than ever. Any software that works on Windows will be able to work on this tablet. I enjoy the benefits of having a full-fledged Microsoft Office 2013 as well as software like VLC media player and paint.NET.Using the tablet to serve the internet and do basic work is also very smooth and its extended battery life with Lenovo’s own power management settings allows me to work the extra hour.
The possibilities are limitless with the Lenovo Miix 2 8 tablet and I can sense empowerment with this device in my hands. Of course, I am looking forward to the next version of the Lenovo Miix tablet based on a later Intel platform that brings many other advantages to my computing needs. It should be available later this year.
