Nokia’s anticipated 41-MP sensor with amazing
zoom capabilities heralds a new era in smartphone imaging

– Nokia today announced the arrival of the
much-anticipated Nokia Lumia 1020 in Singapore, the smartphone that sets a new
benchmark in smartphone imaging.
The
Nokia Lumia 1020 is able to produce images previously only possible on digital
cameras, thanks to Nokia’s innovative PureView technology. It includes a
second-generation 41 megapixel sensor and six-lens Carl Zeiss optics with
optical image stabilization – allowing people to capture, edit and share
professional quality photos and videos.
Using
a new application called Nokia Pro Camera, the Nokia Lumia 1020 reinvents
“zoom”, enabling people to shoot an image first, and then zoom in later to
discover and re-discover stories that contain more details from the original
image shot. With a beautiful interface that visually demonstrates how settings
will affect the final photo or video, Nokia Pro Camera simplifies features
usually reserved for professional cameras and teaches people how to take better
photographs.

Starting from Saturday, 5 October 2013, the
Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available in yellow, white and black at a price of
$999 at Nokia Stores and Nokia Solutions Partners, and will come with the Nokia Camera Grip (original price:
$98) included as a special bundle pack for free. All 3 local operators will also be retailing the
device with attractive data plans.
