Intel will be releasing the new Ivy Bridge-E processors in mid September. At the moment, we are unsure if manufacturers will be releasing new motherboard for the new processors as the current new processors will still be compatible with previous LGA 2011 motherboards. This is also because they will be prepping for next year’s Haswell-E X99 chipset.
Other than changes to the colour scheme, ASUS also made some changes to the PWN section. In addition to the 8 SATA ports on the P9X79 Deluxe, there will also be 4 more SATA ports, making the motherboard to have a total of 12 SATA ports.
