I refer to a Straits Times article dated 18th May 2013, titled “Turning IT interest into serious business”. The papers have made it seem that the route to setting up a business is very easy, and could have possibly portrayed the idea that I was the one who was behind all the hard work. I would like to clarify that this is most definitely not the case. I have an awesome team supporting me behind this start up and I would like to acknowledge every single one of them who have made it possible.
As some of you may have known, the company’s name i.e. “T05 Technologies” came from the class name which the founding members are from. The term “founding of a company” could be overrated in this case as what we really did was hijacking an empty classroom and discussing on what we should do for the company. After that 3 hours of discussions and assigning of roles for the whole company, T05 Technologies was founded.
I personally think that in order to get things done, the first step is to get started and actually taking appropriate steps in doing it. I have met many friends whom want to start up their own business with their own business ideas. However, all these thoughts remains as thoughts as no actions are made and nothing is realised. In fact, I actually believe that if one is determined to start-up, an initial idea is probably not even important. Just get started with things already!
The process of developing and marketing your product will set you thinking, giving yourself experience and allowing you to realise the dos and don’ts. Starting up is a process, and there is no formula to it. Starting up a business is not difficult, but going through the process of starting up and accepting the cold hard truths about your idea about your product is.
IMO, a good entrepreneur will know how to adapt and improve their product idea as he receive more feedback from others, but also know what is right for his product and change only what is essential. There is a corporate spirit in every single product and every change to a product based on feedback from others outside the company may make a product “generic”, losing its corporate value. It is the essence of the company’s spirit within a product that differs the product from competition. It is also being naively determined with the core set of values of the company that gives life to an emotionless product. Even if a product fails eventually, it will die with glory. (People who always talk about financial gains on a business will probably hate me because to them, it’s “No Money No Talk” )
That is why T05 Technologies will always be responsive, adapting to changes quickly and tackling challenges without losing our own identity. We aim to make a difference in the world with our skills not because of monetary gains, but because we know that we CAN.
Ngee Ann Polytechnic was founded in 1963 and no one would ever think that a small college with 116 enrolled students then, will transform into a world leading polytechnic with over 16,000 enrolled students at a time. It was the small steps taken by founding fathers of Ngee Ann Polytechnic that went a long way and resulted in a huge difference years down the road. T05 Technologies is started based on the same believes of the founders of the polytechnic. We just want to try things out and do what is right, and who knows what will happen tomorrow?
Of course, T05 Technologies would not been possible without the people behind him(Yes, it’s a him). I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the following heroes behind all the different applications/sites created by T05 Technologies :

We are an extremely young company. In fact, just less than 3 months old. There is still a long journey ahead of us and we are sure to say that we are ready to face all challenges.
Do keep a look out for the upcoming projects which we will be launching in the near future. You’ve yet to see who we really are.
