Scotty Le, an employee from Nokia’s Software Quality Assurance department for Windows Phone 8 platform has uploaded an image to his deviant art account. From the teaser image, we can guess that the subject is revolving around the new Windows Phone 8 update, specifically to the changes that Microsoft is making to a concentrated “notification center”.
Microsoft previously announced that they had plans to come up with a notification center concept for their RTM version of the Windows Phone 8 OS, but they did not have enough time to complete it. We are looking forward to this additional patch package, which is named “Apollo +” to bring in new features that are not currently available on the Windows Phone 8. These features include VPN capabilities which allow corporate users to connect their phone to their corporate networks.
How will the new notification center fair as compared to Android’s and iOS’s drop down menu bar? We can only make the judgement when the official release of Apollo + is out.
