At a event at Microsoft Singapore, they told us that the Surface tablet will not reach Singapore until early 2013. It will be wise choice for people waiting for the Windows Surface Tablet to get their devices overseas.
It’s odd that Microsoft is not pushing out the device before the holiday shopping period. It could be possible that they had agreements with hardware vendors to improve their relationships with them. In Singapore, major brands like ASUS, Acer, Samsung and HP will be pushing out their devices on the actual Windows 8 launch date. Microsoft could be possibly trying to prevent conflicts with sales with these vendors.
On a side note, the Surface tablet will not have 3G connectivity. If you’re looking for internet on the go, look at devices from other manufacturers.
