ZhngMyCom was the result of the exceptional interest in computer hardware. The blog focused much on computer hardware, leveraging a lot on YouTube video sharing site for unboxing videos and video tutorials. That was when a blog got such much more interactive and entertaining. Although many netizens hated the funny Singapore ascent and somewhat broken English, that shall remain. We want to provide a site where Singaporeans feel at home. We want a site which is targeted at our fellow Singaporeans. We want to challenge ourselves to maintain a Singapore Culture in the blog, but at the same time be professional.
We realized that communication is the key to the growth to a site. ZhngMyCom became the focus of the group project in 2010 and the title of the site was changed to NPowerIT. The blog made use of various Web 2.0 Social Media tools to facilitate discussions and formation of opinions from the public. It made the site interactive and attractive. However, as it was a school project, dedication from writers waned after the project was completed. It was a good product and it was highly commended by the lecturers. However, no blogs could last long without constant update of content.
