UGREEN MagFlow 2-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Wireless Charger Review: Easy Everyday Charging

The UGREEN MagFlow combines two wireless charging pads in a compact design that snaps shut for travel. With Qi2 25W charging, broad device compatibility and room for a phone and earbuds at the same time, its greatest strength is how little thought it requires.

Some accessories invite pages of discussion about modes, controls and configuration. The UGREEN MagFlow 2-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Wireless Charger is not one of them—and that is precisely its appeal.

Open it, connect a USB-C cable, place a phone on the magnetic pad and put a pair of wireless earbuds on the other side. Both devices begin charging, with no app or setup process to get in the way. It is a deliberately simple product that quickly became convenient enough to use as my regular day-to-day charger.

Two charging pads, one compact package

The MagFlow consists of two circular charging pads joined by a flexible centre section. One side is the Qi2 magnetic phone charger, while the other is a conventional wireless charging surface intended for AirPods and other compatible earbuds.

The MagFlow opens into two charging surfaces: a magnetic Qi2 phone pad and a smaller pad for compatible earbuds.

The clever part is how it packs away. The two pads fold over and clip together magnetically, turning the charger into one compact, rounded unit instead of leaving two separate pads and a loose hinge in a bag. UGREEN lists folded dimensions of approximately 6.02 × 7.26 × 2.67 cm, so it is easy to carry between home and the office or add to a travel pouch.

A USB-C input sits on the edge of the phone-charging half. The retail package includes a 1 m USB-C cable, although a power adapter is not supplied. The outer shells feel solid, while the charging surfaces and flexible centre section keep devices from sliding around easily.

The same folding mechanism also lets the MagFlow double as a phone stand. I attached the phone to the magnetic Qi2 pad, folded the second pad behind it and rested that pad on the table. Together with the flexible bridge, it forms a triangular support that keeps the phone propped up in landscape orientation while charging. This is convenient for watching videos or using the iPhone's StandBy view. The practical trade-off is that the secondary pad becomes the stand's supporting foot, so it is not lying flat for simultaneous earbud charging in this configuration.

Qi2 25W charging, with an important power requirement

The headline specification is Qi2 25W. This is the newer, higher-power iteration of the Qi2 standard, based on Qi v2.2. UGREEN rates the MagFlow for up to 25W with compatible iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 models, while its published specification lists up to 15W for the iPhone 12 through iPhone 15 generations.

UGREEN recommends using a 45W-or-higher USB-C power adapter to reach the charger's full performance. Since the box contains only the cable, buyers who do not already own a suitable USB-C adapter should factor one into the overall cost.

I did not conduct controlled charge-time or power-draw tests, so the maximum wattages above should be treated as manufacturer specifications rather than measured results. In normal use, the more meaningful benefit was reliable magnetic alignment: the phone naturally settled into the correct position and began charging without the trial and error that can happen with non-magnetic wireless pads. UGREEN says the charging surface uses 16 N48H magnets to keep a compatible phone aligned.

Not only for iPhones

UGREEN's packaging and compatibility list focus heavily on the iPhone, and the MagSafe-style magnetic experience is clearly central to the design. In practice, however, the charger was not restricted to Apple phones. I was able to charge both iPhone and Android devices.

The exact charging speed and magnetic attachment will naturally depend on the Android phone and case being used. A device with Qi wireless charging can receive power, while a suitable magnetic ring or case is needed if it does not have built-in magnetic alignment. I would therefore view Android support as useful flexibility rather than assume every model will reproduce the full iPhone-focused experience or reach the advertised 25W maximum.

The MagFlow also worked through my thick phone cover. UGREEN cautions that thick or non-magnetic cases can weaken the hold, so results will vary, but my own case did not prevent the phone from attaching and charging properly.

Charging a phone and AirPods at the same time

The second pad is what makes the MagFlow useful as an everyday charger rather than merely another magnetic puck. I could leave my phone on the Qi2 side and charge my AirPods on the other pad at the same time, all from one USB-C power connection.

It was not fussy about the AirPods case, either. Charging worked with the normal case and continued to work when the AirPods were inside a much larger protective carrying cover. Indicator lights on the charger and AirPods case made it easy to confirm that power was flowing.

The illuminated indicators make it easy to confirm that the earbuds are receiving power.

The smaller pad is not fundamentally limited to AirPods. It can be used with other compatible wireless-charging earbuds or similarly sized Qi devices, provided they sit correctly on the charging surface. That makes the setup useful even for someone whose accessories do not all come from Apple.

This two-device arrangement also reduces cable clutter. A phone and a set of earbuds are the two devices I need to top up most often, so being able to place both on one compact charger made it realistic to replace their usual wired chargers during ordinary desk or bedside use.

Straightforward, with sensible limitations

There are only a few practical points to remember. The MagFlow is a charging station, not a power bank, so it must remain connected to a USB-C power source. A sufficiently powerful adapter is required for the best charging performance, and the maximum rate still depends on the receiving device, its software, alignment and temperature.

It is also a two-in-one product. Those looking for a dedicated Apple Watch charger alongside their phone and earbuds will need a larger three-device alternative. The trade-off is that the MagFlow remains much easier to carry than most full desktop charging stations.

Verdict

The UGREEN MagFlow 2-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Wireless Charger succeeds because it is so easy to live with. It charges a phone and wireless earbuds together, worked with both the iPhone and Android devices I tried, and did not force me to remove either my thick phone cover or a large AirPods protective case.

Its foldable design is more than a visual trick. Snapping both charging pads into one compact unit makes the charger genuinely convenient to carry, while opening it immediately creates a practical two-device charging station.

There is no complicated feature set to master here. It is a simple, portable charger that does exactly what it promises, and that simplicity is what makes it a convincing replacement for the wired chargers I would otherwise use every day.
