Memory buyers usually have to decide whether they care more about tight latency, very high transfer rates or sheer capacity. KLEVV is trying to cover all three priorities with the CRAS V RGB PRIME, a new DDR5 range aimed at high-end gaming PCs, overclocked desktop systems and demanding creative workloads.
The line gives the company’s award-winning CRAS V design a black-and-gold finish while spanning kits from 6000 MT/s to 8000 MT/s. Its 6000 MT/s and 6400 MT/s models chase unusually tight primary timings and introduce AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency certification to KLEVV’s overclocking-memory portfolio. The 8000 MT/s models take the opposite route, relaxing timings to pursue a much higher headline data rate.
That split makes PRIME more than a cosmetic refresh. It creates a latency-focused path for compatible AMD systems, a frequency-focused option for builders chasing bandwidth, and capacities reaching 128GB for users whose creative or productivity workloads need more memory than a typical gaming build.
Availability is scheduled to begin in November 2026 through online and offline retail channels. KLEVV has not yet announced regional pricing.
Three speed tiers, all tested at 1.4V
KLEVV will offer three primary specifications. The 6000 MT/s version is rated at CL26 with 26-36-36-76 timings, while the 6400 MT/s kit runs at CL28 with 28-38-38-78 timings. The fastest 8000 MT/s option is rated at CL38 with 38-48-48-128 timings. All three are tested at 1.4V.
| Data rate | Timings | Kit capacities |
|---|---|---|
| 6000 MT/s | CL26, 26-36-36-76 | 32GB (2×16GB), 64GB (2×32GB), 128GB (2×64GB) |
| 6400 MT/s | CL28, 28-38-38-78 | 32GB (2×16GB), 64GB (2×32GB), 128GB (2×64GB) |
| 8000 MT/s | CL38, 38-48-48-128 | 32GB (2×16GB), 48GB (2×24GB) |
Latency-first or bandwidth-first?
The specifications reveal two deliberately different approaches. At 6000 MT/s CL26 and 6400 MT/s CL28, KLEVV is pairing relatively high DDR5 data rates with tight primary timings. Those tiers also extend from mainstream 32GB dual-channel kits to 128GB sets, giving workstation-style builds and heavier content-creation workloads room to prioritise capacity without leaving the PRIME family.
The 8000 MT/s tier is more specialised. It is available only as 32GB and 48GB kits and uses CL38 timings, placing the emphasis on transfer rate rather than the lowest latency or maximum capacity. In practical buying terms, the 6000/6400 models are the latency-and-capacity branch, while 8000 MT/s is the frequency-focused branch.
The fastest advertised kit is not automatically the best fit for every PC. Motherboard topology, BIOS support, the processor’s integrated memory controller and the number and density of DIMMs all affect whether a system can sustain a given profile. KLEVV’s broad set of capacities therefore matters as much as the top-line 8000 MT/s figure.
AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency arrives on selected kits
The 6000 MT/s and 6400 MT/s 32GB configurations are the models certified for AMD EXPO Ultra Low Latency. This updated EXPO profile adds optimised memory subtimings intended to reduce latency on compatible AM5 systems, and the CRAS V RGB PRIME is KLEVV’s first overclocking-memory product to adopt it.
AMD says certified Ultra Low Latency memory delivered an average 4% frame-rate improvement over non-ULL EXPO memory in its testing. The profile is intended to make the tuning available through a supported BIOS setting rather than requiring users to enter the relevant timings manually.
Qualification: the quoted timings, speeds and AMD performance figure are vendor-supplied results, not independent TTR benchmarks; achievable performance will vary with the processor’s memory controller, motherboard, BIOS, kit capacity and workload.

One kit can carry profiles for both AMD and Intel
Every CRAS V RGB PRIME kit includes both AMD EXPO and Intel Extreme Memory Profile settings. That means buyers do not need to choose separate AMD- and Intel-specific versions of the same capacity and speed; the appropriate profile can be selected in the BIOS of a compatible motherboard.
KLEVV lists support for AMD Ryzen processors on the AM5 platform and Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus desktop processors. Motherboard and BIOS support still matter, particularly for the highest-frequency and highest-capacity configurations.
The company says the range has been validated on qualified-vendor lists from four major motherboard manufacturers. Checking the exact board’s QVL remains useful because memory-controller capability and supported DIMM configurations can differ between processors, motherboards and BIOS releases.
Screened ICs, a 10-layer PCB and integrated power management
Under the heat spreader, KLEVV says it uses screened memory ICs from a leading Korean manufacturer. The modules are built on a high-density 10-layer PCB, which the company says is intended to improve signal integrity and resistance to interference during high-speed operation.
An integrated power-management IC handles on-module power control, while on-die error correction is part of the DDR5 implementation. Together with the screened ICs and multilayer board, these features form the hardware foundation for the advertised low-latency and high-frequency profiles.
The wide capacity range also broadens the product’s intended use beyond gaming. KLEVV positions the larger 64GB and 128GB kits for demanding creative and productivity workloads that need more memory while retaining the PRIME line’s tuned DDR5 profiles.
Black-and-gold finish with broad RGB support
The PRIME model keeps the shape of the existing CRAS V RGB heat spreader but changes its visual treatment. KLEVV uses hard-anodised aluminium followed by a specialised surface process that gives the black-and-gold modules a smooth, piano-lacquer-like sheen.
The underlying CRAS V design previously received Red Dot and iF design awards. PRIME therefore acts as a new colour and finish option rather than a complete visual reset, retaining the prominent RGB light bar and sculpted aluminium form of the existing flagship design.
Lighting control is compatible with ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync and ASRock Polychrome Sync, allowing the modules to join the wider lighting scheme of a supported system.
KLEVV’s place in the memory market
KLEVV is the consumer memory and storage brand of Essencore, a supplier of DRAM modules and NAND flash products. The brand concentrates on enthusiast memory and SSDs, so the CRAS V RGB PRIME sits squarely in its established performance portfolio rather than marking a move into a new category. The Red Dot and iF recognition attached to the underlying CRAS V design also helps explain why PRIME changes the finish and tuning options without discarding the original heat-spreader shape.
How PRIME fits into KLEVV’s DDR5 lineup
CRAS sits at the performance-focused end of KLEVV’s gaming and overclocking memory range. The new PRIME variant joins a broader portfolio that also includes the URBANE, BOLT and FIT series, giving the company different combinations of styling, dimensions and performance targets.
Within that portfolio, PRIME’s clearest distinctions are its black-and-gold finish, the combination of 6000 MT/s CL26 and 6400 MT/s CL28 options, selected AMD EXPO ULL-certified kits, and an 8000 MT/s model for builders prioritising higher transfer rates.
Warranty and November availability
KLEVV is backing the CRAS V RGB PRIME with a limited lifetime warranty. The company expects retail availability from November 2026, with the exact selection of capacities and speeds likely to vary by market and sales channel.
As with other overclocked memory, operating a processor or memory outside the processor maker’s published specifications can affect warranties covering the processor, system or other components. Buyers considering the fastest profiles should confirm platform support and the relevant warranty terms.
