Synology has introduced BeeStation Plus, the newest addition to its plug-and-play BeeStation series, featuring 8 TB of storage and performance up to 4.8 times faster than the original. The device targets families, creative professionals, and teams seeking a personal cloud solution without complex setup or technical expertise.
The device supports automatic backup from phones, computers, external drives, and cloud photo libraries, and with its built-in local AI engine, which allows users to instantly search for photos by person or subject without uploading any data to external servers, preserving user privacy.
BeeStation Plus also integrates with Plex Media Server, enabling users to create a personal streaming library for movies, TV shows, and home videos. The content is accessible across TVs, phones, and tablets whether at home or on the go.
To ensure data protection, the unit includes snapshot-based restore points and a free three-month subscription to BeeProtect, Synology’s cloud backup service. The setup enables a full 3-2-1 backup strategy within minutes, with end-to-end encryption to secure sensitive files.
