NVIDIA is back with another major driver update, this time to coincide with the early access release of DOOM: The Dark Ages. Known for its highly optimized idTech 8 engine, the latest title from id Software still sees performance enhancements through NVIDIA’s latest GeForce Game Ready Driver.
This release introduces DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, promising ultra-high frame rates for supported GPUs. Players can also leverage DLSS Super Resolution and DLAA for improved image fidelity, complementing the game’s native ray tracing. NVIDIA isn’t stopping there—Path Tracing, dubbed the “ultimate ray tracing,” is on the roadmap, paired with DLSS Ray Reconstruction for cleaner, more stable visuals. NVIDIA Reflex support is also present to reduce input latency.
If you haven’t updated your driver yet, it’s available now via the official website and NVIDIA App.
In other news, New World: Aeternum kicked off its new season just days ago. The update quietly introduced DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation support for GeForce RTX 50 Series users. RTX 40 Series owners can continue using standard Frame Generation, while DLSS Super Resolution and Reflex support extend across the broader RTX family.
NVIDIA has also pushed a new update to its NVIDIA App, enabling advanced DLSS override features for enthusiasts looking to fine-tune performance on a global basis:
- DLSS Multi Frame Generation Override – Activates Multi Frame Gen for RTX 50 Series when Frame Generation is enabled in-game.
- DLSS Frame Generation Model Upgrade – Brings a more efficient model using less VRAM for RTX 40 and 50 Series.
- DLSS Transformer Model Upgrade – Applies an updated AI model for DLSS Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA across all RTX GPUs.
- DLAA & Ultra Performance Modes – Lets users force DLAA or Ultra Performance mode even in games without native support.
Additionally, 15 more games now support the DLSS override settings:
- Bodycam
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Commandos Origins
- Lost Skies
- Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
- Necrophosis
- New World: Aeternum
- No More Room in Hell 2
- RuneScape: Dragonwilds
- Spirit of the North 2
- Steel Seed
- Tempest Rising
- The Talos Principle: Reawakened
- Warframe
Before wrapping up, NVIDIA has also certified a new batch of G-SYNC Compatible monitors, expanding the list of displays that guarantee a tear-free and low-latency experience.
