Synology has officially launched the DiskStation DS925+, a 4-bay NAS solution alongside the DX525 expansion unit, which are designed for professionals and businesses that require powerful, reliable data management.
The DS925+ is built to handle intensive workloads, featuring dual 2.5GbE ports and two M.2 slots that support the creation of an all-flash storage pool or cache which can deliver significant performance improvements, specifically when compared with its predecessor, including 149% faster SMB downloads, 150% faster uploads, 131% faster reads, and 150% faster writes when using preconfigured settings.
Beyond its performance gains, the DS925+ also offers impressive scalability. Paired with the new DX525 expansion unit, it can support up to nine drive bays and deliver up to 180 TB of raw capacity, making it a suitable solution for businesses anticipating data growth as well as consistent reliability..
And of course, the system is powered by the DiskStation Manager (DSM) packing broad suite of features tailored for business environments such as Synology Drive transformubg the NAS into a private cloud with cross-platform access and site-to-site synchronization and Active Backup Suite offering complete backup solutions for Windows, Linux, macOS devices, virtual machines, and cloud services, with flexible options for off-site backups.
There’s also Surveillance Station bringing scalable video management capabilities, complete with real-time intelligent analytics to protect physical assets.
Availability
The DiskStation DS925+ and the DX525 expansion unit will be available worldwide starting April 23, 2025, through Synology’s network of partners and resellers.
