MSI has wrapped up its IFA 2024 keynote, and here’s a brief overview of the announcements.
To begin, several new devices featuring Intel’s Core Ultra 200V series processor were unveiled, promising exceptional battery life—potentially a first in Intel’s long history in the x86 space. We’ve already covered the chip in detail, so you can check that out here.
Leading the pack is the Summit 13 AI+ Evo, which continues to represent its lineup with its signature lightweight design and robust security features. It also supports the MSI Pen 2 stylus for touch input, maintaining its reputation as a versatile, flip-capable laptop.
Meanwhile, the Prestige series comes in 13/14/16-inch models, offering ultra-light builds, large batteries, and up to 20 hours of continuous video playback. The front-facing 5MP webcam has been improved for better face capture.
The Intel Core Ultra 200V will also power handheld gaming PCs, including the upgraded MSI Claw 8 AI+. This model not only benefits from enhanced performance and battery life but also adds an extra Thunderbolt 4 port due to popular demand.
Additionally, MSI has redesigned the power brick, making it smaller and more portable with better wall socket compatibility.
Switching gears, MSI will offer the Summit 16 and Prestige 16 models alongside the Stealth and Creator series, all powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series chips for those who prefer Team Red.
Finally, MSI is introducing the new Venture series, which sports a sleek, low-profile design—no gaming aesthetics here. However, it’s packed with top-tier hardware, including the Intel Core Ultra 200V processor, a 16:10 OLED display, long battery life with 100W charging, and more.
In terms of size options, the Venture series will be available in 14, 15.6, 16, and 17-inch models to offer customers a broad range of choices.
