At IFA 2024, Acer unveiled a range of exciting new products aimed at gamers, including AI laptops and peripherals that align with the current AI trend.
Let’s begin with the Vero PD2 series projectors, which feature Gen 4 LED Lighting technology, offering up to 3700 ANSI lumens of brightness and 120% REC. 709 color space coverage. These projectors also include a 0.65-inch DMD chip providing a 50K:1 contrast ratio. Among the models, the Vero PD2328 boasts a resolution of 1280×800, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and 3700 ANSI lumens, while the Vero PD2528ic offers 1920×1080 resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and 3200 ANSI lumens.
In addition to advanced technologies such as LumiSense, ColorPurity+, ColorBoostLED, and ColorSafe II, the Vero projectors emphasize eco-friendliness with Auto Eco Mode, mercury-free design, 50% PCR plastic, and fully recyclable packaging. Other key features include wireless projection, screen mirroring, HDMI 3D support, Auto Keystone Correction, compact design, and low TCO.
Acer also introduced the Swift 14 AI and Swift 16 AI laptops powered by the Intel Core Ultra 200V series, maintaining their sleek designs while offering exceptional battery life and AI performance. The 14-inch model can be equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, while the 16-inch version features the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V.
Both can be configured with up to 32GB LPDDR5X-8448 RAM and 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Display options include a 3K or 2K OLED panel for the 14-inch, and a 3K OLED for the 16-inch, both supporting a 90Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, and HDR TrueBlack 500 certification. Acer’s AI-powered PurifiedView 2.0 and PurifiedVoice 2.0 features are supported by a 1440p QHD IR webcam and tri-array microphone for optimal video calls.
Additionally, Acer revealed the Swift 14 AI and Swift Go 14 AI, which are powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 or Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus SoC. The Swift 14 AI shares similarities with the Intel version, but offers a choice of OLED or IPS panel with WQXGA resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Meanwhile, the Swift Go 14 AI comes with up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, 120Hz WQXGA IPS screen, and a 1440p QHD IR camera. Both models carry over many of the features from previous generations.
For business users, Acer introduced the lightweight TravelMate P6 14 AI, powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9 288V. Weighing under 1kg thanks to its carbon fiber chassis, it includes up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM, PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a 65W battery, making it a powerful yet portable device.
The TravelMateSense key continues to offer versatile functions for various work scenarios, while cutting-edge AI tools such as Acer Experience Zone, Live Art 2.0, and QuickPanel enhance productivity. The laptop also includes a wide variety of ports, including Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and USB-A 3.2 Gen 1.
Acer also showcased two smart monitors: the 31.5-inch CS322QK with 4K resolution and 98% DCI-P3 color gamut, and the Nitro GS272U M, which features a 180Hz WQHD resolution. Both monitors come with built-in WebOS for easy web browsing and online collaboration without the need for a PC or laptop, along with wireless casting and mirroring capabilities.
Lastly, Acer introduced the Iconia X12, a mid-range tablet offering a balance of value and performance. It features a 12.6-inch AMOLED display, MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, up to 256GB storage, 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras, and a 10,000mAh battery with fast charging. An optional Bluetooth keyboard and stylus pen make it a versatile device for both productivity and entertainment.
