At the COMPUTEX 2024 event, ASUS IoT announced two new edge AI systems that cut through the noise of the expo floor.
The PE2100N series boasts powerful AI processing powered by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin. This system can handle extreme temperatures, thanks to its SWaP-optimized design, making it ideal for harsh environments. For quieter operation, the PE1101N uses efficient fans that are well-suited for tasks like defect inspection and object recognition. But for absolute silence, the PE2100N offers a fanless option.
Both systems are designed for power efficiency with NVIDIA Arm-based CPUs and embedded GPUs. They also come equipped with comprehensive I/O options like CANBus, LAN, and PoE ports, making them perfect for applications like traffic management, intelligent security systems, and roadside units. Need more storage or connectivity? The PE2100N has you covered with multiple M.2 slots and even 5G module support.
On the software side, both series come pre-loaded with the latest NVIDIA JetPack 6 SDK, making it easy to develop and deploy AI solutions. Additionally, they offer a wider range of Linux distributions and enhanced platform security. Developers can also leverage the new Jetson Platform Services, which provides pre-built and customizable services for AI applications running on Jetson Orin SoMs.
The PE1101N series focuses on a compact design, measuring just 130 x 90.2 x 72 mm. Despite its small size, it boasts robust I/O options like CANBus, GPIO, and Gigabit Ethernet. It can also be optionally equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth through M.2 slots. This combination of great connectivity, low power consumption, and small form factor makes it ideal for space-constrained environments like those found in smart cities, transportation systems, and even EV charging stations.
Both the PE2100N and PE1101N series will be available for sampling starting in August. ASUS IoT assures customers of long-term technical and product support for these new edge AI systems.
