ROG has introduced a couple of new high-end gaming monitors for the Strix series, so let’s dive in.
First up is the Strix OLED XG27AQDMG, featuring a glossy WOLED panel. What’s the benefit? The addition of a white-emitting OLED unit with a clear coating to the existing RGB units results in sharper images, higher maximum brightness, and darker hues while maintaining vibrant colors, essentially enhancing HDR performance.
It also eliminates flickering in VRR mode, a common issue with conventional OLED panels, thanks to ROG’s Anti-Flicker technology. This tech offers three profiles – Strong, Middle, and Off – allowing users to choose the most comfortable setting for a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience.
As for the basic specs: it boasts a 27-inch display with a 1440p resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms GtG response time, G-SYNC Compatibility, and includes ASUS OLED Care to prevent OLED burn-in.
Meanwhile, the Strix XG27UCG is designed for optimal performance across different game genres with its Dual-Mode LCD panel, allowing users to switch between 4K at 160Hz and 1080p at 320Hz with a simple hotkey.
This monitor offers stunning visuals for AAA games and a highly responsive profile for games like CS 2 or Dota 2. It also features a compact stand, USB-C with PD, DP 1.4, and HDMI 2.1 ports.
Price and Availability
The ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDM will launch globally on May 30, priced at $699. The Strix XG27UCG’s details are still being finalized, so its release date and price are yet to be announced.
