ROG’s Strix series has once again expanded with the introduction of two new monitors – the XG27UCS and XG27ACS.
Both models share similar design choices with the resolution being the deciding factor as the XG27UCS boasts a 4K 160Hz display, while the XG27ACS offers 1440p at 180Hz.
Moving on to their similarities, both monitors feature G-SYNC Compatibility and Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) for exceptionally smooth gameplay. Additionally, they are both certified with DisplayHDR 400 and offer a wide DCI-P3 gamut for HDR content and color accuracy.
Stuff like ghosting is somehow remedied by ASUS Variable Overdrive 2.0’s various “overdrive settings” so that’s nice to have.
For enhanced gaming experiences, AI-powered GamePlus ensures precise crosshair placement, while Dynamic Shadow Boost brightens dark areas to prevent sneaky players shadow camping you.
As for connectivity, both monitors feature standard DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports, along with USB-C supporting DP Alt output and Power Delivery for device charging. The DisplayWidget Center app simplifies control and customization without relying solely on the OSD menu.
