Been a fan of Google Bard as opposed to ChatGPT? Well, bad news. Time to say goodbye to Bard, the name at the very least.
The good ol’ Bard is not going anywhere anytime soon but has rather been “upgraded” to Gemini which is powered by the AI algorithm of the same name.
And as a standard user, there are literally no practical changes to the way of operations and such. So just do what you usually do – Holding the Power button to launch Gemini then attach screenshots, your voice commands, text-based prompts, you name it.
A total of 40 languages will be supported and for Singapore, it will be enabled and updated in the coming weeks.
For power users who don’t mind shelling out USD19.99 each month, the new Gemini Advanced powered by Ultra 1.0 which is Google’s most capable model by far is here to really solve any sort of problem you can throw at it – coding, logical reasoning, instructions too troublesome for human, repetitive tasks, creative generation, and more.
Additionally, you can try it out first before committing since Google will be giving you 2-months of free trial.
And for Duet AI, the new name tag for it will be Gemini for Google Workspace and Google Cloud. As long as you have an active subscription to the Google One AI Premium plan, the suite of Gmail + Docs + Sheets + Slides + Meet will be augmented by Gemini to make your daily work much more productive.
