This year’s MWC 2024 has seen ASUS showing off some industry gears in the form of powerful servers.
Currently happening over at the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain, the connectivity ecosystem-focused event sees ASUS announcing a new strategic partnership with FuriosaAI that promises next-gen data-center AI accelerators as one of the fastest-growing startups in recent times.
Its 1st gen chip named WARBOY is dedicated to vision intelligence and has shown exceptional performance acceleration across a wide range of computer vision models at MLPerf Inference. Thanks to this, ASUS has qualified WARBOY to include them in their cutting-edge server solutions designed to seamlessly integrate with AI and 5G frameworks.
Aside from that, there are other server showcase and live demonstrations including:
- CU/EG520-E11 server – Multi-SKU 2U compact chassis with optional time-sync and FEC function cards, support up to 3x 300W GPUs, optimized for 5G O-RAN apps, CDN workloads, and various AI tasks
- U/ESR1-511-X4TF server – Hosts Intel vRAN Accelerator ACC100 and the ASUS Intel E810 time-synchronization module, supports QAT and LA acceleration without using PCIe 5.0 interface, enables O-RAN L1/L2 in one system
- ESR1-511N-A1 server – Certified NVIDIA Grace Hopper AI server for DL training, inference, and HPC, 1U design hosting up to 576 GB of GPU memory, 4x E1.S local drives and 2x PCIe 5.0 x16 slots
- 2U, 4-node high-density server – Powered 4th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs, rocks the latest DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 for computer-intensive workloads
