SteelSeries’s latest announcement is about their venture into the premium standalone microphone space with the introduction of the Alias family.
We’ll start off with the base Alias first. Powered by Sonar for Streamers, it is capable of capturing 24bit/48kHz picking up all the details of the streamer or gamer.
A 5-stage LED indicator will react to the peak levels for intuitive feedback and when muted, a big red “X” will be shown instead (No more mute baiting by the Twitch chat).
The LED indicator can also be set to sync with all compatible SteelSeries headsets such as the Nova series products for more rainbow puke.
If you want the best, then the Alias Pro will be the choice. Its broadcast-quality XLR mic identity captures voices with extreme accuracy with the balanced XLR system with pre-amplifier and 48V phantom power delivering that strong and powerful 24bit/48kHz audio.
Part of the package includes the pro-grade command station XLR Stream Mixer bringing XLR amplification and audio mixing controls to any PC. It houses 2 USB ports with Sonar Software which can augment dual PC streaming for the big boys in the streaming market.
Mixing is also a breeze thanks to the Drag ‘n’ Drop Audio Routing enabling up to 5 audio channels for the best output experience. The control panel also has the option to control mic gain and muting of various channels while the custom-designed LED indicators let the user monitor all statuses at once.
Let’s not forget the underglow RGB for more style points.
