Singaporeans are getting a nice quality-of-life update in WhatsApp because it will make buying stuff through the platform via the “PM Price” strategy much easier now.
As the title suggests, a small number of Singapore-based businesses with more to come, will now provide the option for customers to buy and sell directly on WhatsApp without opening up another website or app for secured payment. Early adopters such as Love Handle, No Excuses, Tye Tye, and Bakerz13 already have the service up and running in their business contact.
The payment service provider partner in question, Stripe, will be the one powering the service, making those who own a locally registered Whatsapp number holder to pay using credit/debit/PayNow.
This new feature is available to local businesses utilizing the WhatsApp Business Platform while those coming from another platform may consult with one of the business solution providers such as Vonage, Gupshup, 360dialog, and Wati.io for more information.
