DMS-106XT Multi Gigabit Unmanaged Switch received the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2021. The annual Red Dot Award: Product Design is awarded to products of outstanding design quality in roughly 50 different categories. 50 international experts judge the entries based on aesthetic appeal, function, intelligence, and innovation. D-Link DMS-106XT is a new unmanaged switch that accelerates network efficiency and delivers uninterrupted online experiences. The device features one 10G Ethernet ports and five 2.5G Ethernet ports, wherein users can connect to 2.5G Ethernet notebooks for HD streaming and gaming while the 10G port connects to a NAS (Network Access Storage) for quick backup or restoring of files or data. The device also features Smart Turbo Mode to delivers Quality of Service (QoS) and port-based priority for uninterrupted online gaming and 4K streaming. It also has an interactive Multi-coloured LED light indicating turbo mode status. Lastly, it is silent in operation as it is designed fanless. More importantly it is a plug and play device where there is no configuration is required and perform right out of the box. Its multi-gig ports are backwards compatible with existing cables and equipment so that it can be deployed where extra bandwidth is demanded without costly, time-consuming re-cabling or equipment replacement costs.
