The latest imageCLASS LBP215x, LBP214dw and LBP162dw
deliver versatile connectivity, efficient printing and absolute ease of use to
modern businesses

SINGAPORE, 10 April 2018 – Canon today announced the launch of the imageCLASS
LBP215x, LBP214dw and LBP162dw, the latest A4 monochrome laser single-function
printers ideal for Small Office Home Offices (SOHOs), Small and Medium-sized
Enterprises (SMEs) and workgroups within large enterprises. Designed with a
smaller footprint and imbued with excellent connectivity, the printers occupy
minimal space in contemporary workplaces while delivering maximum work
efficiency.

Optimised workspace and easy
connectivity

Built
with a smaller footprint, the compact imageCLASS LBP215x, LBP214dw and LBP162dw
boast a significant reduction in height compared to the predecessor, making
them versatile when it comes to fitting in tight workspaces.

The new
printers offer seamless connectivity to help mobile users perform print jobs
effortlessly. All three models come equipped with Wi-Fi for wireless
connections along with Direct Connection capabilities, allowing mobile devices
to connect directly to the printers without the need of additional external
routers. In addition to the Canon PRINT
business app, other mobile
printing solutions supported by the printers such as Google Cloud
Print™, Apple® AirPrint™ and Mopria® Print Service enable users to carry out daily tasks with complete ease.

Additionally,
the imageCLASS LBP215x supports uniFLOW output management solution, which allow
administrators to track print jobs to individuals, department and provide
user-based reporting for accountability. Secure printing can also be enabled
such that confidential print jobs will be released upon users’ authentication
at the device, for higher level of security.

Improved work and cost
efficiencies

Designed
to handle the demanding workloads of growing businesses, the imageCLASS LBP215x
and LBP214dw deliver swift printing with an impressive print speed of 38 pages
per minute (ppm), while the LBP162dw prints at 28 ppm. The imageCLASS LBP215x
and LBP214dw also support the additional option of A5 size printing, at 63ppm.
All three printers feature efficient duplex printing and a quick
First-Print-Out-Time (FPOT) of 5.5 seconds or less, ensuring maximum workplace
productivity. With the option for additional paper feeder tray, both the
imageCLASS LBP215x and LBP214dw are capable of high capacity paper load of up
to 900 sheets.

The
Eco Report feature, accessible via print report and the remote user interface,
helps to identify potential areas for reducing carbon footprint and keep
printing costs in check. In addition, optional high-yield toner cartridges help
users achieve a lower cost per print with increased page yields, and reduce
frequency of toner replacements.

The
imageCLASS LBP162dw is also designed with a separate toner and drum, instead of
an all-in-one-toner cartridge. This translates into cost savings as users have
the option to replace the toner cartridge and continue using the same drum till
the drum cycle is up. There are also two yield options for toner cartridges to
cater to different user demands.

Greater user experience with
enhanced usability

The
imageCLASS LBP215x facilitates ease of operation with a large 5-inch colour LCD
touchscreen, while the LBP162dw and LBP214dw come with a 5-line LCD display.
The printers automatically remove the protective toner seals and minimise the
handling of cartridges during replacements, allowing work to resume quickly for
a greater user experience.
