Singapore — December 14, 2017 — The
Razer 2017 Vainglory World Championship, the biggest event of the year for
Vainglory, the world’s leading mobile esport, kicks off today at the Singapore
Kallang Theatre. The four-day tournament, lasting from 14 to 17 December 2017,
will feature the top 12 teams from around the globe, with familiar names such
as last year’s champion ROX Armada, fellow Korean team Ace Gaming, North
American champions Cloud9, global esports brand Team SoloMid, and Singapore’s
very own Team Impunity battle it out for the world champion spot and prize pool
of over 140,000 USD.[1]

The Group Stage will start on 14 December at 12pm where the 12 teams will
battle to an eight-team quarterfinals bracket on Day Two, followed by the top 4
teams competing on Day Three. The Grand Finals will be played by the two best
teams live on stage on the last day of the Championship.

Day Two of the tournament will also see Super Evil Megacorp’s developers
engage local students in an esports seminar, to share their experiences and
hand out advice to budding esports talents. Participants will also get to witness
the global unveiling of Vainglory 5V5 on the final day of the Championship.
