ViewQwest partners with Equinix to launch
Direct Cloud Connect service
The partnership gives enterprises in South East Asia a boost by enabling private virtual connections for direct cloud access and improving overall network performance
Leveraging Equinix Performance Hub™ and Equinix Cloud Exchange™, ViewQwest has partnered with Equinix, the global interconnectionand data centre company, to launch the ViewQwest Direct Cloud Connect service. ViewQwest’s Direct Cloud Connect is an advanced interconnection service that enables private virtual connections for direct cloud access with automated provisioning that can improve the performance of the enterprise network.
With the rise of cloud services, there is a growing need for businesses to access mission-critical data and processes in the quickest time, and have secure, direct and dedicated connections to their cloud solutions in order to maximise and realise the full potential of the cloud.
Instead of securing individual connections and negotiating with each cloud service provider, business users need just a single connection from ViewQwest to access Equinix Cloud Exchange where leading global cloud service providers have already aggregated.
Vignesa Moorthy, chief executive officer of ViewQwest said: “With our partnership with Equinix, we can now offer businesses in South-east Asia the one-stop convenience of being able to connect securely to their preferred cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365 via ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud and IBM Softlayer.”
Equinix Cloud Exchange enables on-demand, direct network connectivity to multiple cloud providers in 21 cities worldwide, so that business users can access major cloud services directly with low-latency and high-throughput performance. With the partnership in place, more businesses can now tap into Equinix Cloud Exchange through ViewQwest’s Direct Cloud Connect service.
ViewQwest has also deployed Equinix Performance Hub which uniquely combines elements of data centres, networking infrastructure and connectivity, and cloud computing access to improve application performance and deliver a globally consistent quality of experience to end users.
Clement Goh, managing director of Equinix south asia said: “ViewQwest has a strong regional presence and we are honoured to have them as our first local network service provider that utilises both Equinix Performance Hub and Equinix Cloud Exchange. Together, we aim to help businesses in the region simplify and meet their cloud needs through our integrated offering.”
