SINGAPORE, 3 July 2015: Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd has launched six new document scanners that deliver enhanced professionalism, productivity and collaboration for businesses. These scanners range from portable to professional production models. Included in this range are: Travel Scanner 150, DocuMate 3220, DocuMate 3125, DocuMate 4440i, DocuMate 4830i and DocuMate 4799. Selected models are bundled with market leading document management software that empower users to transform volumes of paper into organised digital files that can be systematically retrieved, shared and used.

Bundled software for outstanding productivity

The DocuMate scanner range comes with bundled software that increases productivity. Visioneer OneTouch scanning allows users to scan documents to multiple destinations such as email, Microsoft Word files, and printers or file folders while the unique Visioneer Acuity Image Enhancement software tool enables your scanner to edit your scanned documents and improve image quality at the point of capture.

Users can utilise Nuance PDF Converter and Nuance OmniPage software to convert scanned documents to editable Microsoft Office formats. Text can be altered as necessary, making documents more flexible than ever. Nuance PaperPort converts scanned documents into searchable Portable Document Format (PDF) such that text in this file can be indexed and searched on software such as Microsoft Windows Search. PaperPort also allows scanned documents to be separated into individual pages which can be subsequently reassembled into new PDF files.  

Another software that is bundled with selected scanners is Kofax VRS.  Kofax Virtual Re-Scan (VRS) instantly detects poor image quality and performs automatic image enhancements.

The summary of these scanners are as follows:

Travel Scanner 150: portable scanning for professionals on the go

The lightweight Travel Scanner 150 weighs less than half a kilogram and can scan in high resolution black and white, greyscale and colour. Users can scan business cards, receipts, invoices and other forms no matter where they are. Features include ID card scanning suitable for property, healthcare and financial sectors. Users can also scan documents directly to cloud-based applications such as Google Docs and Evernote.

DocuMate 3220: a low-cost, highly-productive scanner for small businesses

The DocuMate 3220 has been designed to improve efficiency and productivity for document-centric professionals who need to better organise, manipulate and distribute paper in their business. One-button scanning delivers documents to any one of nine pre-set destinations including email, folder, printer and any other devices. Users can choose from flatbed scanning for fragile, oddly-shaped or thick documents, or use the automatic document feeder (ADF) for faster scanning of forms, bills or document stacks.

DocuMate 3125: faster scanning for better efficiency

The DocuMate 3125 has a small footprint for use on crowded desktops and is fast and simple to set up and use. Ultrasonic double-feed detection alerts users to stapled documents or the rare mis-feed. Users can also scan duplex or utilise the Skip Blank Page function that removes blank pages from the image data.

DocuMate 4440i: complete document management for departments

The DocuMate 4440i is a departmental scanner with reliable paper handling for high productivity. It scans fast at 40 pages per minute and scan up to 5,000 pages a day. The DocuMate 4440i includes Kofax VRS, award-winning and patented image enhancement technology that ensures the best possible image quality and optical character recognition (OCR). This enhances the accuracy of scanned document images.

DocuMate 4830i: large format production scanning on the office desktop

The DocuMate 4830i allows users scan A3 documents and long documents nearly three metres using a desktop scanner. Visioneer Acuity image enhancement technology helps to create near-perfect scans from imperfect originals. Flatbed scanning lets users scan a variety of documents easily, while the ADF accommodates 75 pages for convenient batch jobs.

DocuMate 4799: a durable, high-speed scanner to improve productivity and efficiency

The DocuMate 4799 is a production-scale scanner with triple ultrasonic DFD, colour drop-out, auto binary/colour distinction and other advanced features. It delivers outstanding quality scans fast at up to 112 pages per minute. The DocuMate 4799 incorporates a number of user-friendly features such as multiple options for the input tray level for maximum convenience, the ability to switch between automatic and manual feeding at the touch of a button, and the option to adjust the rollers depending on the type of paper being used. Automatic colour detection determines which documents of a mixed batch should be saved in colour, keeping image file sizes smaller. Image enhancements include the ability to fill in hole-punched pages and invert the colour. The Kofax VRS technology automatically maximises image quality, making production scanning easier and more cost effective.

The new range is available in Singapore at all authorised resellers (please refer to Appendix 1) from 3 July 2015 onwards. The recommended retail prices of the models in the range are:
