Today, we take a first look at BitFenix’s Prodigy Limited Edition which has just arrived into Singapore 2 days ago. The new BitFenix stocks are available in Black and White. They are limited editions from Japan and has an additional touch of red for the black version and blue for the white version.

Before of your purchase of the BitFenix Prodigy, to make sure that you are getting the Japan edition stocks, take a look at the model number on the box. It should end with a -JP, signifying Japan.

The BitFenix Prodigy may look small on photos, but in fact, it’s actually quite a big case considered for a Mini-ITX class.

On the right side panel, we can find the power and reset switches, headphone and microphone jacks, as well as 2 USB 3.0 expansion ports.

The BitFenix Prodigy supports an ATX sized Power Supply Unit, a Mini-ITX motherboard and even full length video cards by removing the hard drive cage within the case. It also has a front 5.25″ Bay. It can support up to 5 internal 3.5″ HDD with the HDD cage installed. 2.5″ drives can also be installed in those bays.

At the back of the case, we can see that the case supports dual slot Graphics Card, making it one of the most kick ass mini ITX gaming chassis ever made.

At the bottom of the case is a dust filter which filters dust from the PSU intake fan.

There is an option to install an additional 240mm radiator, or 2 120mm fans at the top of the case, making it probably the most Fantastic Mini-ITX case in the industry.

At the front of the case lies a huge 230mm fan, pulling cold air in from the external environment into the case, effectively cooling all components in the case.

The hard drive cage is easily removed to support longer full length video cards.

In summary, BitFenix Prodigy Limited Edition is definitely worth the buy if you are sourcing for a new gaming Mini-ITX case. To be honest, it’s probably the only Mini-ITX case that is feature packed enough to be suited for a gaming system. At an affordable price of SGD$119, you’re definitely getting more than what you paid for, especially in a limited Mini-ITX market where everything is expensive.
