vivo is bringing the V80 Lite 5G to Singapore, with its unusually large 10,000mAh battery serving as the main attraction. Pre-orders run from 18 to 25 September 2026, ahead of general availability on 26 September.
Prices start at S$499 for the model with 6GB of physical RAM and 128GB of storage. An 8GB/256GB version costs S$699. vivo markets the configurations as 18GB and 24GB respectively by adding 12GB or 16GB of extended, storage-backed memory; those larger figures should not be mistaken for physical RAM.
A 10,000mAh battery in the V series
The V80 Lite 5G is the first model in vivo’s V series to reach the 10,000mAh class. Its typical battery capacity is 10,000mAh, while the rated capacity is 9,800mAh. The phone uses fourth-generation silicon-anode technology and vivo’s Magic Cube packaging to fit the larger cell into the handset.
vivo says the battery can support 12 hours of intensive mixed use in its laboratory test, which combined photography, video recording, calls, a Zoom meeting, navigation, office applications, TikTok, gaming and music. That result was recorded at 25°C, with the display set to 150 nits and other controlled conditions, so real-world endurance will vary with signal strength, brightness, temperature and individual use.
Battery Life Extender is designed to keep essential functions such as emergency calls available when the indicator reaches one per cent, while reverse charging lets the phone supply power to accessories. vivo also claims the battery retains at least 80 per cent of its capacity after 1,400 full charge cycles in a 23°C laboratory simulation—equivalent to about seven years under the company’s assumed charging pattern, rather than a guarantee for every user.
The launch material does not specify the phone’s charging wattage, processor or software-update commitment. Buyers comparing overall performance and long-term support will therefore need to check the final retail specifications.
IP68/IP69 protection and a 120Hz OLED display
The V80 Lite 5G carries IP68 and IP69 dust- and water-resistance ratings under IEC 60529. vivo says it was tested for immersion in up to 1.5 metres of water for 30 minutes, as well as high-pressure water exposure. As with other water-resistant phones, protection can deteriorate with wear, and liquid damage is not covered by the warranty.
vivo also cites compliance with selected MIL-STD-810H procedures and a controlled three-metre drop test onto carpet. These are laboratory durability claims, not an assurance that the device will survive every fall. A 3.8K vapour-chamber cooling system is intended to manage sustained workloads and operation in temperatures of up to 45°C.
At the front is a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, quoted global peak brightness of 2,000 nits and 1.35mm bezels. The handset includes stereo speakers and is offered in Afterglow Pink, Dawn Black and Emerald Green.
50MP rear camera and a wider selfie camera
The imaging system combines a 50-megapixel Sony main camera with a 32-megapixel front camera. vivo quotes a 90-degree field of view for the selfie camera after distortion correction, aiming to fit larger groups into the frame.
Software features include AI Erase for removing unwanted people or reflections and a Check-in Watermark that can add the time and location to a photograph. AI Erase requires a network connection.
AI transcription and cross-device sharing
Smart Call Assistant offers real-time call transcription, translation and summaries in supported markets, including Singapore. AI Transcript Assist can organise recordings from meetings and lectures into searchable text, although it requires a network connection and vivo account and is subject to usage and recording-length limits.
vivo Office Kit supports transfers and task hand-offs with compatible Windows PCs and Macs. One-Tap Transfer works with supported iPhones through vivo’s EasyShare app, while Shake & Share can create a nearby group for transferring photos and videos. Compatibility depends on operating-system, app and device versions.

Pre-orders are available from 18 to 25 September through Shopee, Lazada, TikTok and authorised retailers including Challenger, Best Denki, Courts, Harvey Norman, Gain City, FairPrice Xtra and Popular. Retail and telco sales begin on 26 September.
vivo is also accepting pre-orders at the opening of its Jurong Point Experience Store from 1pm on 19 September. The first 20 pre-order customers there will receive a goodie bag advertised as worth S$199, while stocks last.
vivo says purchases include Buds Air3 earphones, six months of 100GB Google One storage for eligible customers, a two-year local warranty and three months of screen care. Promotion eligibility and stock availability may vary by seller, so customers should confirm the final terms before purchasing.
